La Esquina Taqueria (located in East Oakland, Ca) is the epitome of a hidden gem Mexican restaurant. If you're craving authentic Mexican cuisine that is simply divine, then this is the place to go. Service is top notch and the ambiance is pretty cool.

Excellent tacos, and for $3 ea., they are a steal. I will definitely be back next time I’m in the neighborhood.
Good food and service. Seating in the small dining area was clean but limited.
