Lucuma Kitchen and Bar Reviews
Another 5-star meal at Lucuma. A friend's birthday. Amazing service, drinks are perfection, love the citrus and crunch in the food. Really great spot, perfect place to celebrate or just...enjoy!
Great experience. The food is beautiful and delicious. As soon as you walk in you know you’re in for a treat as so much has been done to make this a beautiful space and the service is top notch. We had the Pave Potatoes to start which came out like a color sculpture with perfectly crispy edges and soft insides draped in a bright orange pepper sauce. Lucuma Kitchen & Bar is an absolute gem in Oakland offering a wonderful Peruvian experience. The food is incredible, every dish full of authentic flavor and beautifully presented. Drinks are fun, look beautiful and include creative cocktails that complement the meal. The atmosphere is warm, stylish and welcoming, a great spot for date nights, family outings and kid‑friendly visits. Staff are attentive and friendly, service always feels personal and relaxed. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends, because the restaurant tends to fill up quickly. Parking in the Atlas Building garage nearby is super convenient for a stress‑free visit. Popular starters include chinito ceviche, pulpo al olivo and plantain chips, while the pulpo was a favorite bite of the night. Main choices such as tallarines verdes, paella persians de tierra, steak cooked perfectly, pesto pasta and mac & cheese show both traditional Peruvian roots and a modern American twist. Portions are just right and everything tried was delicious. The kitchen closes early, so adjusting the latest reservation time would give guests a full dining experience. Overall Lucuma delivers great food, warm service and good vibes.
