“Great experience. The food is beautiful and delicious. As soon as you walk in you know you’re in for a treat as so much has been done to make this a beautiful space and the service is top notch. We had the Pave Potatoes to start which came out like a color sculpture with perfectly crispy edges and soft insides draped in a bright orange pepper sauce. The entrees were good sized portions, rich in flavor and plated well. Their Pisco sour was spot on and the Lucuma ice cream was a great way to finish the meal“

“Food is some of the best Peruvian home cooking I’ve ever had in the states and is a must try. The lomo saltado (steak and rice) and chaufa mariscos (seafood fried rice) were great. We highly recommend the goat and ceviche Classico. The chicha Moreno was not too sweet; just right. Their salsas were also super flavorful, but you may need to ask for them.“

“La comida authentica. The food is delicious, authentic, and the people working there put a lot of care into their drinks and dishes. For sure try the Anticuchos (beef), and the fried fish in the Jalea Bites was amazing too. It was all great. Have to check it out and will def go back.“

“El Mono is absolutely fantastic. I took one bite and instantly fell in love with the dish I ordered (tallarin Saltado). Matt and the staff are absolutely wonderful and made it feel like a trully welcoming establishment. The truth is that I felt every bite warm my soul and made me feel more at ease. Being able to feel calm and enjoy such an amazing meal is something special, and El Mono is special!! something you have to experience.“

The food was so tasty and authentic. The drinks were perfection. And the servers and bartender really are fantastic. They make you feel like you are part of the family!
We also had a celiac friend and they were so accommodating in making different modifications so that dishes could be gluten free!!“

“El Dorado was a wonderful experience. The ceviche is awesome. We also had the arroz criollo which we couldn't stop eating. My son also had the churros with Chocolate sauce for dessert and loved it. If you are staying in the Union Square area and want to get away from the touristy restaurants, this restaurant is an easy 3-4 block walk and definitely worth it.“

“I rarely post reviews but had to chime in as this was such an outstanding experience with Lima Peruvian! I catered an event in my home and the food arrived on time, piping hot, carefully marked for ingredients and allergens and was just so delicious. I received countless compliments and requests from guests to find out where the food came from. The order included a mix of meat, meatless and vegan offerings that really hit the spot. In particular, the Loma Saltado, Aji de Gallina (Creamy Yellow Chicken), Seco de Pollo (Green Herb Chicken), Vegan Split Pea Amarillo and rice were outstanding. Thank you Lima Peruvian!“
