Had lunch and dinner while on a work trip to Oakland here and the food was great. The ambiance was nice and the food portions were fulfilling. Staff were very friendly, overall good experience.
We were there for a New Year's Eve dinner and were so pleasantly surprised. The food was exceptional (the fact that the sauce for the shrimp cocktail was made in-house was our first clue that this was above average). Our entrees were prepared exactly as we'd specified, and the veggies and sides were tender, tasty. Our desserts, again, the gelato was housemade (coffee bourbon, original and delicious). Had a great dinner there last night for the re-opening. Gin is one of my things, had the 'Lances' Gin Tonic' and the shrimp cocktail. Had the mussels which weren't all gross and big like a lot of mussels are, and came with a great sauce, and then the crispy chicken which was done in a German style, along with a Zinfandel and a Carmenere I quite enjoyed. I'll be back.
