“This is a solid poke spot that is really unique because they also sell boba. I noticed that a lot of Boba places in San Diego actually sell something else in addition to the drink, like popcorn and candy, or crepes. I found that to be pretty interesting. The food here seem to be good fish quality but the sauce is to me were a little bit on the bland side. I still enjoyed the meal and the milk tea quality was just okay.“

“Act of kindness and respect. My husband is a Vietnam vet. We ordered our food at the counter. We didn’t notice the placard at the counter saying “ we give discounts to vets”. Our number was called and we went to the counter, paid and brought the delicious Japanese food to our table. I asked Buddy, did you get your discount? He was unaware. We inquired about it mid meal. They offered to re-ring our tab. We said don’t bother, we’ll get you next time. The owner or manager not sure who he was didn’t let it go. He noticed we were drinking water with our meal. “We LOVE ourselves some Chef Tangs! From the first visit, we identified a superb atmosphere to enjoy fresh, quality food with great pricing. If you like spicy, you cannot pass on their hot and spicy soup. We have turned on several friends to that dish alone! We have also dabbled with most of their chicken and beef dishes; all have been fantastic! The owner, Lee, is an outstanding guy. Always amazing service with a smile. His staff always goes out of the way to make your dining experience memorable and pleasurable. They’ve made us feel like family from the beginning. We endorse this restaurant with our highest regard and crave it on a weekly basis. Get over there and try it for yourself. You’ll become a regular in no time!“

We tried to get in 2 different times but they were full.
On the 3rd try we understood why it's so crowded the food was fabulous. Hubby got drunken noodles loved them and I had Crispy Chickee and loved it also.

“It's a perfect place for a group of friends to gather as they have round tables that seat 6 or 7. The chicken lettuce wraps are always a favorite, as is the hot and sour soup, which is hearty and delicious! New lunch specials are excellent, with lots of choices and scaled down in price and in quantity. And everything is prepared fresh (you may actually have a wait for some items), but always worth it!“

The chicken pho is a must-try; the broth is rich and comforting, and the portions are generous. Every time we visit, the service is excellent — friendly, attentive, and fast. The restaurant has a warm and relaxed vibe that makes it perfect for both lunch and dinner. Definitely one of our favorite local spots, and we can’t wait to come back!“
