“This place is EVERYTHING!!! I come here at least twice a week because the food is absolutely amazing, but it’s the people who make it unforgettable. A huge shoutout to New Year, Jocelyn, and Ichen what an incredible team! They are so organized, on top of everything, and their customer service is next level!

New Year is the sweetest and makes every visit feel so special with her energy and kindness. Jocelyn is just as fantastic always making sure everything is perfect and Ichen is a rockstar! Together, they create such a fun and welcoming atmosphere that keeps me coming back again and again.

I’ve brought my partner here, all my co-workers, and I’m even planning to celebrate my birthday here! The food is beyond delicious, and the vibes are unmatched. “This restaurant has a charming, traditional décor, with antique-style partitions and lanterns hanging from the ceiling. I noticed the front desk was staffed by a white person, so I was initially a bit concerned about the authenticity of the food. However, the food turn out pretty good, and the servers were all friendly Chinese staff who spoke Mandarin.

I ordered the Moo Shu Shrimp and extra vegetables. The portion size was generous, and they provided complimentary soup. The atmosphere was great, and the food tasted quite good.“

“Usually delicious. Nice attentive staff. Clean bright dining room. Usually no line. Ingredients are quite consistent though the mixing and pumping of the spiciness level is always quite variable. Could use a little more authentic sesame oil and tang in the sauces.

Dining room ambiance a little stark. Nice decorations, but the acoustics are too much echo and often a little cold and sterile. Need some house plants acoustic absorbing panels in there .

I originally posted a review regarding what I believed to be a billing error at Chin’s Carlsbad. However, after speaking directly with a representative, Howard, I want to commend their professionalism and quick response in addressing my concerns.

Howard took the time to go over my receipt in detail, and we discovered that the Point-of-Sale system deducts a portion of sales tax from gift certificates, which initially caused some confusion. After reviewing the proper sales tax calculations, it became clear that my bill was actually correct. In retrospect, I was mistaken, not the restaurant.

I truly appreciate Howard's courteous and professional approach in resolving this issue. It’s a testament to their commitment to customer satisfaction. Chin’s has always been a family favorite, and I’m happy to say that their integrity and service remain top-notch.“

Parking: Decent spots, but rapidly fill up - would recommend parking in the free lot by Le Papagayo or the Blue water grill and walking

On the 3rd try we understood why it's so crowded the food was fabulous. Hubby got drunken noodles loved them and I had Crispy Chickee and loved it also.

“Today was my third time going and once again I'm totally impressed. I ordered the teriyaki salmon bento box combo. The Asian green salad / dressing was delicious. The salmon is superior sushi quality and absolutely wonderful; way better than typical generic farmed salmon. Teriyaki sauce again excellent and the miso soup very, very good.
Oh, and the Japanese staff give 100% super service really enhancing the experience.
Honestly, I don't know what more you could ask for even if it cost much more.“

“Food was really good! We ordered the salmon with broccoli, marinated olives and a delicious salad. The fish was seasoned so well and it tasted very fresh! Salad was very crisp and had a good flavor. We had a beautiful view of the ocean while we were eating our meal! Our server was very nice and was able to assist with our food sensitivity to dairy. So, the chef was able to delete butter and used oil instead to prepare our meal. They were very accommodating; which we appreciated very much!“
