“I really like this place. I have taken friends here and they all like it. The rice bowl or sauce and the meats are really good. The potato macaroni salad and other sides and the sandwhiches. Basically anything on the menu i like. This older asia man i think might be the owner was there more around september or so i havent seen him the past couple times ive been there. He is very friendly and personable. One of the cashiers the past couple times is good but he needs to stop wearing earbuds unless its for a hearing reason. He seems disinterested and always asks to repeat myself. And he is playing video games on his ipad which im not attacking but no one wants to feel like theyre interrupting the workers who are meant to provide service to them and i know this from experience since i have worked in cpunter service before. But im not trying to trash him just giving feedback. Great job guys thank you, it is the best affordable place to eat near saddleback college. Much appreciated in Jesus name.“

“Wow ok this is the spot in downtown sjc... We got a great view overlooking swallows bar across the street. Great people watching great atmosphere, relatively chill with a great happy hour and really nice and friendly service... We had a five-star experience with wonderful food. We had the pork ribs and we had tuna. Everything was amazing.“

“Super good westernized Chinese restaurant with lots options and good value. The Changs lettuce wraps are their most popular dish and definitely a must try. All of their dishes are packed with flavor and very delicious. The sushi rolls are on the smaller side so I would recommend skipping those and getting their main dishes. Beautiful interior with plenty of outdoor seating as well and friendly staff.“

“Craving some udon while we were passing through the area so we decided to stop here for a quick early dinner on a weekend. It was quiet and service was quick.

Set up like a Chipotle and Subway. You order your main dish and you move along to customize it by adding tempuras (extra fee), vegetables (extra fee), green onions, or tempura flakes.

The udon soup base and noodles was good. The tempura batter on my shrimp tempuras was too thick and not light and flaky. I wanted to add vegetables to my udon and wish they were cooked first or cooked with my soup. Dumping uncooked vegetables into my soup just cooled everything down right away.

There was a lot of seating inside and on their large outdoor patio. The place was very clean.“

“Waba Grill was on my list of new places to try next and I'm very grateful to God that I did!

Waba Grill sent me a coupon via their SMS Rewards program to try out 5 FREE dumplings with my purchase of a bowl. They also offer 20% off my first purchase but I couldn't combine it with this offer.

Either way, I am pleased! I went with their Waba Steak & Chicken Bowl along with 5 dumplings. My order was ready as promised within 15 minutes. The women at the customer service were quick and kind and they thanked me for coming in.
I've never tried dumplings before. I'd say these are pretty good. I'm not sure what kind of sauce they threw in, but it has a nice kick to it that brings a life to the dumplings with each bite.

Now as far as the bowl, wow, their Waba Sauce tastes like honey and teriyaki mixed together! It's so good topped over the steak and chicken and rice! The flavors all just mix so well.

I'd say, this is definitely a place, service and food I'd give a rating of 5/5. The food was so good and I'm thankful for the FREE dumplings and the blessing to try them out for the first time for FREE!“

I came here on my lunch break and Ed took care of me. I placed an online to go order and he remembered my name and made sure I had all my utensils and sauces. “This place seriously just made my whole week. The food came out super fast and it was all so fresh and flavorful, I basically cleaned my plate without stopping. I got the mussaman curry and it had that perfect mix of sweet and savory with huge chunks of potato and tender chicken. My friend had the pad thai and they said it was the best theyve had in a while too. We just kept talking and eating way longer than we planned because no one wanted to leave. Recently, I decided to venture off my usual choice - Chow Mein - which I think is the best ever. Unfortunately, the new dish I ordered was subpar, I called the restaurant and spoke to a nice lady (I forgot her name unfortunately), she went above and beyond just replacing the meal. And I really appreciated it. Customer service like this is now rare - but she was so nice about it. A) didn't make me feel low or stuck-up (I hate that feeling esp when the vendor makes the mistake) - this was not the case here B) replaced the meal with another of my choice C) And added a generous extra item on the house
