Ice cream INSIDE an Apple Pie! Yes please! My amazing dad was a Top Gun graduate as an F-14 Rio and I grew up not just watching the movie, living a part of the real life story. My awesome date took us here, who is also in the Navy, and it happened to be my dad's birthday that passed away. You can imagine how special this was & the service was great. I wanted to check out High-Pie while in Oceanside and I had a few reasons, besides liking pies. The actual house is a historic Victorian house, nicely renovated that dates back from 1887. On top of it, it was used as a location for the original "Top Gun" it was the beach home of Kelly McGillis' character. A few layers of fun facts. That little hand- pie they serve are small but for $5 I think they're worth it you can sit out on the porch in one of the wicker chairs and look right across the street to the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Also, they have all kinds of photos from the movie Top Gun inside. The Ambiance is really fun and very reminiscent of our time in the 80s.
