I was ignored for a few minutes upon walking in! When I ordered a Carne Asada burrito I was told they were didn't have any Carne asada (It was only 1pm)

Based on the reviews, Burrito Express Authentic Mexican Food is a favorite taqueria style Mexican restaurant. The Jamaica and horchata are good, with the horchata tasting like it came from the rice. The nachos are huge and delicious. The service is really good, with kind and patient staff who are bilingual for non-Spanish speakers. The atmosphere inside makes customers feel like they are in Mexico, with a pretty ambience, flowers on the tables, and Mexican music playing. The bathroom is really clean. However, the new owner raised the price by ~25% for the whole menu. The food is the same quality and size, but the price is a lot more expensive with no warning. Customers have to pay for soda refills and there is a limit on the salsa bar and toppings. It was a go-to affordable place for good Mexican food, but it is no longer that.
