We ordered the garlic bread to start (definitely a nice bite to hold you over for the main dishes, if you don't want anything too filling). For dinner, we ordered pasta which is clearly made with all the heavenly cheeses. If you're a chocolate lover, the dessert is for YOU! Forgot what it was called, but it was like a chocolate cake with ganache and more chocolate and I cannot explain how delicious it was. “My husband and I visited Lester family wines for the first time and was completely impressed by the wines. We liked each wine we tried which is rare for us but truly very nice wines. The owners are fabulous - so warm and welcoming. Felt a kinship to them immediately. We would highly recommend everyone to try them. You won’t be disappointed.“

“Went in on a Saturday for lunch with 3 people. Was able to be seated at a high top table straight away. Great vibe, friendly and quick service. We ordered dirty martinis and when we asked for more olive brine they happily obliged. We ordered fresh and broiled oysters to share as well as mussels abs lobster roll. All were fantastic! Even the bread with whipped butter was delightful! Loved this spot.“

“I have visited The Cave twice, a week apart. The first time was for a wine pairing dinner, which we did with another couple. There were 5 courses (appetizer, salad, two entree courses, and dessert) and each dish was delicious. We decided to return a week later to see if it would be as good for just an ordinary night out. The restaurant was not too busy (it was a Tuesday) but each of the dishes we enjoyed was well prepared and very good. We ordered the Macadamia Crusted Salmon, a chicken special stuffed with goat cheese and spinach, and another chicken dish. The restaurant is attached to a wine shop, and if you don't want to sample wines by the ounce or order wine off the restaurant list, you can go into the shop and choose from literally hundreds of wines at all price points and then bring the bottle into the restaurant where they will serve the wine for a very minimal ($10) corkage fee. Done be put off by its location in an industrial park. This place is a gem! Inside it looks like a wine cave and they usually have some quiet live music at dinner time. This is definitely one of the better dinner spots in Ventura!“

“1st time here. Came here with the family and never had the kids this quiet while eating! They loved their pizza. I had the Chicken piccata it was really good, my wife had the Shrimp piccata and she really liked it. Food was good, service was excellent and the staff was super joyful and had a good vibe and very helpful. Will definitely be back.“

“We had a great dinner at Prime for my birthday. We love the food & service. The only issue we had is we were charged $6 for club soda! I honestly feel this is way too much to charge a customer. We also sat at the table in front of the fireplace, it was raining & windy out, but the exit area in the patio where we were seated was the only area not covered from the cooler weather & the heater was broken. Luckily the fireplace kept a few of us warm but everyone else was cold. We would've moved but we were a party of 6 & had already ordered drinks and apps. & didn't want to get up and move.“
