“Would have given 5 stars if not for the misleading name of the establishment. They should have, instead of using the word bakery, used the words pastry palace. Or something like that. When you go to a bakery and they don't have donuts, donut holes, or even apple fritters, then it is a sad day my friend.

Tina, the owner is amazing at what she does and puts much so effort into her work. I can’t pinpoint a specific dessert because they can whip up just about anything. My favorite in particular is Tina’s delicious red velvet cupcakes. The treats are tasty and made with love. More than that, Tina provides superior customer service. Tina’s staff at the UC Berkeley location is always going above and beyond to make sure that everything is perfect and with a smile. “Every time I’ve gone there it’s been a great experience! When there’s a line, the employees are super efficient and the wait times are never bad. It’s super fun watching them make the ice cream. I recently went there to get my mom a smoothie and the guy was super nice (I didn’t get his name sadly) I tried a bit of her smoothie (WITH PERMISSION!) and it was delicious. Wonderful place to stop and grab a lil treat while you’re shopping 😊“

“Heavenly but problematic.. We arrived at Dianda's about 30 minutes before closing. The server was very patient and boxed up a delectable assortment of pastries for us. When we tried them half an hour later, it was like rum cake heaven (and the chocolate pastries were out of this world).
But be warned - if you go there after 6:30pm, the cleaning person is already mopping around you with a foul-smelling floor cleaner (bleach..?) Frankly this almost put us off buying anything, and also gave us awful allergy headaches later that night. We loved the pastries and will go back for more - but never close to closing time! (7pm).“
