While visiting Palm Desert for the Indian Wells Open, my family and I stopped by 1501 Uptown Gastropub for a post-match dinner.In classic desert fashion, the space is a fluid fushion of indoor and outdoor dining. The high ceilings make for an open feel, that weave nicely with the dark, yet flashy decor.The food was tasy and well plated. My partner and I love this place.However today when we came in around 445 the Hostess was not the way we wanted to start our dinner. She was not smiling at all. Seemed angry she was there. Was also not happy for some reason that we asked for a booth. She said follow me.We did She dropped us off at the table and kept going.This is a 1st impression for a restaurant. This is a great little pub outside of downtown. The skinny margarita is fabulous...I had two. The 1501 burger was excellent. The fries are on point. My friend had the pastrami sandwich and salad and said it was good. I would definitely return!
