“Major props to Los Alpes Ice Cream. I get nostalgic every time I come here. I have been visiting since I was a kid and the memories I have from this place are all great. The quality is just as good today as it was back then. I literally met my best friend here over 30 years ago and the interior still looks exactly the same.

I love coming here every chance time permits when I am visiting Los Angeles. It is one of those places that brings me right back and it never disappoints.

The flavor selection is amazing. Even though I usually keep it simple with cookies and cream, I have a hard time resisting the mamey and nuez every single time. Their ice creams are packed with ingredients. Cookies and cream is loaded with actual cookies and the nuez has that perfect nutty richness in every bite.

The staff and owner are always attentive, friendly, and genuinely pleasant. This place is a true Los Angeles institution. It still surprises me how many people do not know about this gem. If you have never been, do yourself a favor and check it out. You will see why it has been around for decades.“

“Wife and I enjoyed our first Korean style shave ice, or Bing Soo. We ordered small size, one each of black sesame and mango cream flavors. Both were delucious, but at $13 each, it is a pricey dessert. It might be better to share, if you can agree on one flavor. Bing Soo house is actually located within the Korean supermarket of the strip mall. There are several restaurants in the strip mall, not shown on Google maps, including shops serving: Korean bbq, K broth, K noodles, & Pho.“

“Definitely the place to be on Sunday fun day! If you miss home in Hawaii, you'll feel like you are home not just because of the ono food but the incredibly courteous and caring staff. I drove up from Orange County and, the moment I walked in, I was greeted with an ALOHA and watched the place get packed. It was a perfect place to meet up with friends! Spam & eggs with rice for breakfast hit the spot. Malasadas are fresh and warm! Then they added live musicians playing Hawaiian music and I didn't want to leave. Highly recommend and plan to return again!“

“This place is not called el Piquin Mexican Grill anymore. it’s called Taqueria La Fogata and since they have changed owners. the food has been so much better and more delicious than ever before. everything on the menu is great especially their chicken that they specialize in. every type of food from breakfast lunch and dinner. “Pricey but you pay for what you get: Real delicious deserts of good quality. They serve fruits, tostilocos, special drinks, nachos, cocktail, tortas and so much more! Try it and the taste will tell! It's unlike any other! My favorite is the Sangria drink that they uniquely prepare.“

“When I first got there it was kinda dirty on the outside but I think it had to do with the teens outside. The workers were nice and it was quick. My favorite part was everything felt homemade. She gave us our prices on a calculator and we payed through her phone. She asked if we wanted ice cream in a box and it was a cut out Oreo box. Some people may not like this but it felt like they used what they could easily access. Also the ice creams were good. My picky sister who only wanted McDonald’s enjoyed it. I am writing this on the way back in traffic because the road was shut down and we can’t leave. Supposed to give my brother ice cream but it will probally be melted when I have back home late.“

“It’s been a long time since I’ve been back here with my family but Their raspados & tostilocos are AMAZING! I recommend their chimitorro, tamarind or really just any of their raspados! Love how fresh they taste and they don’t taste like fake/artificial syrups. They take pride in their fresh ingredients and I support it!“

“I had breakfast here for the first time. I had the Phnom Penh Noodles and Iced Coffee. The broth was good, average portion size, but lacking meat toppings The rice noodles was firm. Condiments comes in packets. Iced coffee was weak and it does have a weird aftertaste. They sell traditional Khmer desserts as well. I will try the shaved iced next time. Most of the customers are takeout out orders, but they do have a few tables for dine in. The restaurant is clean and tidy, including the bathroom.“

“Came here for an Orange juice, Also got a ham and turkey sandwhich and the lady gave me a free bag of chips woth thw order. From my experience everything was really good and id go back. The orange juice was not watered down it was fresh and had a good taste to it. The sandwhich was also really good. Customer service was good and the lady was really nice and friendly.“

Most stores usually have little to not much variety, but this location always has something in store for everyone! It has flavors for ice cream that other locations don’t seem to have. They always try to introduce something new and refreshing that anyone can and will enjoy! Whenever I have entered this store, they always have fresh corn for an esquite or fresh fruit for hot summer days. “I came in on 12/27 around 2pm and there were 2 guys working ( Anthony and someone else I didn't catch his name tag)They were dealing with a crazy customer who was yelling at them, talking down at them over a small upcharge they didn't want to pay for. They took care of the rest of us in line while still handling her which I really appreciate. They didn't deserve that treatment and still kept a smile on their face. They kept a good attitude despite someone being rude and entitled!“
