Nana's Green Tea Reviews
Parfait was solid. Pretty sweet. Self order and pick up. Wait time was fast.
I’ve been obsessed with hojicha drinks lately, so this hojicha sundae totally hit the spot! 😍 The minced chicken rice was delicious, and the fried chicken in the curry was surprisingly good too! 👍🏻
I love Nana’s location in Nyc so was super excited to try this one in Pasadena! I will say they are a bit different (no soy milk here or rewards program yet) but the staff was honestly a lot sweeter when I asked for extra matcha.

Nana's Green Tea in old town Pasadena offers a genuine Japanese experience. The service here was absolutely outstanding, with staff going above and beyond by personally delivering a forgotten bag to a customer's home, showing kindness, honesty, and professionalism. The parfait tastes as good as it looks and feels like the stuff you get in Japan, and the curry is also the real thing. The food portion is big for 1 person, and the black sesame latte is good. The place is clean but gets loud when a lot of people dine in, with all the glass and keepers adding to the noise.
The food and soft serve are loved by families, and the bowl or plate set is delicious. However, the matcha latte is too strong, and most people didn't finish their drink with the same complaint. The matcha drinks are not too sweet and well-made, but the hot matcha brown sugar latte wasn't sweet either, which some liked. The matcha chocolate cake is on the drier side and not sweet at all, but pairs perfectly with the chocolate flavor. The service setup is simple and fully self-serve, with tablet ordering and pager pickup. Unique drinks, chill atmosphere, and worth trying despite being a little pricey.
