WAKE AND LATE — PASADENA Reviews
Lovely breakfast burrito and coffee this morning, small menu and a shame no bagels but still lovely. Relaxed seating area and quick and easy service.
I think the concept is genius but the pinto beans are cooked with beef tallow which for California (lots of ovo-lacto vegetarians doesn’t make sense). It’s the only potentially vegetarian option that’s not just eggs tots and cheese. It would be great if they had even simple beans as an addition. For that reason it’s a 3/5 overall.
Great burritos! Very friendly staff and good vibes. The iced caffe is one of the best things on that menu I fear. I tried the steak burrito and the tater tots were crispy and the Avocados were also fresh. Will go again for sure!

Wake And Late — Pasadena is a restaurant known for its burritos. The breakfast burrito with chipotle aioli sauce is very delicious and fairly priced at $12. The steak burrito and bacon burrito are savory and packed nicely, with the cilantro cream being a favorite sauce. The steak burrito has a great combination with pickled onions and peppers. The burrito is very tasty with a tortilla that tastes better than at any other place. However, some reviews mention the portions are smaller than expected, and customization options are limited. Prices are considered high by some, with a vegetarian burrito and an oat latte costing $20. For drinks, the Double Americano is loved but can be strong, while the vanilla iced latte is so good some buy another to go. The building is cool on the inside, located in the Ex-Star News building, but the atmosphere has zero personality with grab-and-go vibes. It is not a brunch spot or a place for groups, strictly pick up and leave. The staff is nice, and the environment is clean, though it can get warm and seating does not match.
