Atmosphere was decent, although I'm confused what the vibe is they're going for. Seems unsure about it's identity. Is it Mexican? European? Hard to say. I was unimpressed with the quality of the food for the price. We ordered the lamb chop and the sauce was a weird mint Jello. Wouldn't get that again, but did see a few other people eating more Mexican style dishes that looked good.
A beautiful restaurant in downtown Placerville, California. Great atmosphere, excellent service and, for the most part, really good food. The one-star deduction is because I think that a great Mexican restaurant should have great salsa. Cascada's salsa is really bland with zero spice. Tip: if you ask, they will provide some habanero sauce that you can add to the salsa. Careful ... it's really hot, but it does improve the salsa.
