Their tea here is stronger than at their Berkeley location for some reason, which was honestly my only complaint of Chicha San Chen at that other location! This location has been perfect so far. Drinks at Chicha are always sweet for me, even with less sweet it can be a little sweet, but I do appreciate the fresh tea and they have good drink options. Good for people who like to really taste their tea, and their boba is okay. I highly recommend their Dong Ding, both as honey latte...read full review
Excellent tea jelly. The wait is pretty long though. Order and then go shopping.
Size is small for the cost.
There are a few tables but it feels pretty crowded in there, specially on the weekends.

I'm so glad they have opened a new one in Pleasanton! The tea here is super nice. I have been there many times. One thing to remind of is that they close online orders during busy hours without notice. So I can still order in Snackpass, but it shows payment failure. I thought it was my bank's problem...

Chicha San Chen in Pleasanton offers tea that is stronger than at the Berkeley location. Drinks are always sweet, even with less sweet, but the fresh tea and good drink options are appreciated. It is good for people who like to really taste their tea, and the boba is okay. The Dong Ding, both as honey latte and peach, is highly recommended. The tea jelly is excellent. The tea is super nice, and the best tasting tea from any bubble tea/milk tea chain. Online orders are closed during busy hours without notice, so ordering in Snackpass can show payment failure. The line was relatively short on the first day of the soft opening, but the wait was still around 30–45 minutes. It is worth it, though some might not feel the same way.
