Black Bear Diner Reviews
the service was excellent.
party of eight and treated like royalty. good food at a good price.
We all really enjoyed ourselves.
from the host who greeted us to the waitress and servers, just great customer service.
we're here right now. the food came out with the potatoes mixed up (order switched between us) and prepared to the point to where they were nearly inedible. The food had nearly no flavor all across the board. very disappointing experience from a usually-reliable restaurant.
love this place !! had amazing breakfast and service!! 5 stars !!

Based on the reviews, Black Bear Diner Pleasanton is a family favorite with a lodge feeling that is very comforting. Parking is abundant, and the service from the door to the end of the visit is kind, courteous, and superb. The diner is open 24 hours, and the late night menu has a variety from the normal menu plus new tasty appetizers. The food is delicious with generous portions for a reasonable price. Specific meals include the Soup and Salad, with the Tomato Basil being DELISH. The skirt steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, tender and paired nicely with fresh steamed veggies and redskin potatoes. The chicken pot pie was hearty and very filling, and the dishes also came with muffins, honestly some of the best. The mulberry shake was a highlight—sweet, creamy, and really delicious. The Scrambowl with sourdough toast is also a tasty option.
