“I stopped by to pick up some late night dinner. The food was all decently fresh and tasted good. Unfortunately my order was lacking things when I got it which is why I don't leave without checking. I had to go thru the drive way a second time and the manager had the audacity to roll her eyes at me like it was my fault things were missing. It took me a total of 55 min and 2 trips through the driveway to get my meal. They would also not answer their phone..frustrating. I will say this meal special they've got right now to try to bring people back after getting so expensive might work. It says I can get it weekly and I just might.“

“I have passed by this place forever and finally stopped here yesterday after a day at nearby Sunset State Beach.

I am kicking myself for not visiting this place sooner but I will make it a point to stop here for quick eats in the future.

No. 1: it has a drive-thru! After soaking in the sun and waves, and getting in our steps, we just wanted a place with a drive-thru. To get to their drive-thru and parking lot, it's best to enter from westbound Hwy 129.

No. 2: their menu was easy to read and everything looked delish but we settled on two chicken tacos and 1 super burrito with chicken but no sour cream.

No. 3: THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!!! I swear my vision cleared with each bite! Perfectly seasoned, tender, juicey, savory chicken with finely chopped onions and pickled carrots on my tacos. Munchkin ate possibly the biggest super burrito he has ever had, filled with chicken, rice, beans... more. He ate it so fast, I didn't get to see much of his burrito's innards. I guess I should have taken a bite when he offered because he sucked it down like a water moccasin!

I definitely wish I ordered a couple more tacos. But it was enough to get us home without the empty stomach shakes.

No. 4: I told munchkin that the next time we want tacos and burritos, I will gladly make the drive just for this place. It is THAT GOOD!

This place is THE mic drop on fast Mexican food! Hands down!!!

“This has been our Taco Tuesday stop for months now. Their carnitas street tacos are wonderful. Better than beef, and you rarely hear me say that. Five tacos, a 4 oz. side of guacamole and one Mexican beer for under $20, perfect! You place your order at the counter and they call your number. Plenty of indoor seating, none outdoors.“

“Attention Mod pizza lovers, this is the same concept where they build a pizza in front of you, but the crust is even better because it is structured and yummy. Immediately upon stepping in, we were greeted with multiple hellos and welcome in’s- that always makes an experience better from the start! After they had put my pizza in the oven, I realized I hadn’t added the crushed garlic and I briefly mentioned it to my boyfriend next to me. The employee heard me and immediately offered to add it and insisted on it which was so kind. As for the pizza, it was delicious- I had a vegetarian pizza, the roasted broccoli topping is the best. The bathrooms were impeccable which made for an overall great experience (p.s. to the girls: there is no mirror!). One of the best parts was the design of the place, as well as the atmosphere. The tall ceiling and windows made the space roomy and “fresh”. The chill indie beachy guitar music made us feel like we were relaxing by the beach as we watched the sun set through the large windows. As for the seating, there are many option. My favorite were the booth tables because there was a comfy back rest (pictured) and were clean. Shout out to the 7pm crew for being friendly, hardworking, and overall great workers!“

The employee that helped us in the drive thru was extremely courteous I wish I got his name to give him the credit for that! “Taco truck with a spacious parking lot, tacos are absolutely phenomenal. I highly recommend this place, the salsa is absolutely divine, the perfect amount of spices with a wonderful consistency. “I have pretzels at multiple different places and I have a few favorites so I thought I’d try Wetzel’s. The plain salted pretzels are soft with a nice outside texture and buttery. One of the best pretzels I’ve had. (I used to lot be a pretzel person but my wife got me hooked about a year ago.)“

“I am having a love-hate relationship with Jack in the box right now. I love their deep fried tacos, but lately it seems that they have stopped putting the slice of cheese in the taco. and if it doesn't have the slice of cheese, it's just not worth eating. It only happens occasionally it's not something I can fully complain about until it's happening consistently. I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. hopefully they come through for me.“

“I love El Pollo Loco. I eat at El Pollo Loco everywhere I go. I live in the Hayward area, and they get a LOT of my business. I highly recommend it. The chicken is grilled, not fried, and is not greasy. Put it together with the ingredients they use, such as Mexican style rice and beans and you've got a delicious, satisfying meal. Best part is it's more sensibly priced than KFC. The Salinas location did not disappoint. I'm visiting from my home area and loved the burrito I ate here today.“

“Yesterday I went to the 41st Ave in capitola and got myself a kabby patty meal. The staff was very nice and got my food quick. It came with a square yellow bun and a square patty, Patrick's star berry shortcake pie which was so delicious and a pineapple ice. I would get this while you can. “I dont often get out to Salinas but when I do, I try to visit Sonic. I have always loved their tater tots but today I wanted to try their fries for the first time ever. I chickened out at the last moment and ordered the tots again. I mentioned this at the pickup window this and asked if she could maybe throw just two french fries in bag for me to try. She said she would have to ask. She came back with my food smiling and said they were able to put a whole small fries in the bag. This really made my day, whole week actually. Thank you Lizbeth!

“Let me just start off by saying that this place is so much better than subway. I was a subway guy for most of my life, and one day as I was leaving marshals to get some cheap socks, I saw the big letters of, “Jersey Mikes” and decided, “why not let’s try something new”

First and only immediate issue is that this place doesn’t have Meatball subs.

Outside of that I was welcomed by friendly staff, and when asked what I wanted mentioned I was a first time customer. The staff walked me through their menu and I ended up getting one of their cold cut sandwiches and having it done “mikes way”. I got myself a drink and cookie to go. I especially noticed the way they fold and wrap their sandwiches, something subway never really did. But I found it interesting…. Maybe more professional.

I remember taking my first bite in my used 1990 Honda civic and was amazed by the flavor and quality of the ingredients, for a second I forgot I was in a car that was almost 35 years old.

Overall this is my favorite sandwich shop in salinas with Ike’s being a distant 2nd and Subway being last. Erik’s deli? Never heard of them. If you want a solid cold cut, with staff that care about giving you quality service. Come here for lunch! Come here for dinner come here for breakfast. There is a sandwich for everyone.

“Yet another place in the seaside being strange towards black people.They said they were fully staffed one week when I asked to see the Manager about applying seeing the now hiring sign to be told right after that they som how hired four new people the previous day so they are not hiring I should have come earlier she said forgetting that I was there before.Found out from one of the local workers (asked I didn't say job or name but thank you for input) that they only hire "there kind" and they have to be high schoolers... Just take the sign down and close the lobby and be a drive through. Seeing as they try to push u to use the kiosk so they can focus on drive through since they are willingly understaffed as is most of Fremont Blvd .. this is a very divided community and I've lived in some places racist places in my time but here just seams like everyone hates everyone and make it worse for each other at every chance they get

The only thing though there was a older gentleman with his hair down in a biker jacket behind the counter hovering around the staff then hung around at the tables. Made me feel uncomfortable for the staff because it felt like he was just watching them work. I get it he might be the manager but let the staff breathe, they seemed to be doing great. No one likes a micro manager.“
