“I’ve always enjoyed the food and the Luigi’s experience and last night just added to that! I hosted a surprise party in their warehouse and it was phenomenal! Their staff is amazing! From start to finish, they delivered! From their detailed-oriented event coordinator, Lis Clarke, to their friendly, attentive, and fun staff—I am thoroughly impressed! All of my large events will be held at Luigi’s from now on!”

“Very disappointed in my kids turkey sandwich that I always order at the Mount Vernon location but decided to go here because I was in the area. The bread was so salty on top that I could not eat my sandwich and it had no mayonnaise on it and it was sloppily made. So needless to say I am very disgusted and disappointed with this location and will not be returning. These employees need to pay attention to what the hell they're doing”

Hidden little gem in Bakersfield, very cool decor with crusader art work and pieces.
Prices are great, chill vibes, beer was good, food was tasty, portions were satisfying, service was very friendly. Plus they have beer to go and host all kinds of events.

There were a few things that brought the rating down. There was some drunk dude, who l'm assuming is a local, who for some reason was in charge of the music. I love variety but he was literally skipping song after song even changing it halfway through a song and being a bit over the top loud and kinda abnoxious but that is not the establishments fault. Besides that, the beers currently on tap are not the same as the ones listed on their website, and the Crowlers we grabbed to go were not sealed properly and leaked.
All in all, Would still recommend a try!”

“The food was overall good and tasty. Surprisingly my husband and daughter who are particularly picky they loved the food. My husband got the caldo de gallina and he said it was really good. And my daughter loved the rice. I got 2 pupusas and a taco and and it was also good. What I loved the most was the service. The ladies were very welcoming as soon as we stepped in, they were thankful for our business and the older lady who I believe is the owner she was really friendly and nice. She seemed to be known and liked by locals. We just stopped to eat. We were traveling from San Jose to Vegas. Really recommend this place. It is small with only about 5 small tables but if there's people the wait is worth it.”

“I drove past this restaurant while visiting my sister in the hospital. I’m not from the area but thought I’d get some take-out. It was fresh, hot, and good sized servings. I had Pad Thai and added crispy tofu, as well as the garlic green beans. Delicious!”

“I recently visited my mom in Bakersfield. I lived there in high school but moved away about 36 years ago. We happened to be driving down California Ave so I told my mom that we should stop at Dewars to pick up some candy. She reluctantly agreed because she is not a big sweets or dessert person. Her one vice is ice cream so I was able to convince her to come in. The place is beautifully decorated in 50’s style motif and one of the servers dressed adorably. I got a mint chip with hot fudge and peanuts. The peanuts were so finely chopped and the hot fudge was delicious. Who would have thought that mint chip would be pink? I headed back to Florida the next day and I just can’t stop thinking about that incredible ice cream and experience. I guess I am going to have to visit my mom more often. Thanks for the treat Dewars. 🥰”

“We went during evening hours and this crew was hustling. Even though it was slightly busy, they were friendly and welcoming to each customer. Shout out to the guy with the pinkish reddish hair. Been there twice and he is always helpful and working hard. My pizza was great!”
