Cattlemens is one of the absolute best spots for prime rib in the Sacramento area. The fall-off-the-bone ribs are equally spectacular, and the Beef Ribs are to die for. The steak is cooked perfectly, juicy, seasoned just right, with a kind of crust that makes everyone pause mid-conversation. The Old Fashioneds are dangerous, smooth and balanced. Service is top tier, stellar, and incredibly attentive. The atmosphere is cozy and low key. For anyone who is gluten intolerant, they offer a wide variety of safe and delicious options. The only minor suggestion is to boost the AC a bit, as it can get quite warm inside. Another note: more butter for the bread is requested. Some reviews mention disappointment in the appearance of the prime rib, and the onion straws were very dry with little onion. The appetizer Prime Rib Tacos, lettuce wrapped, were delicious with tender meat. The baked sweet potato with pecan butter is great. Expect to pay around $50 to $70 a person including drinks and appetizers. Overall, the incredible food and phenomenal service make this a must-visit.
