“This was our first visit here and we really enjoyed the food. To start we had the crispy crab/cream cheese wontons. They were creamy and full of chunks of crab meat. For dinner we shared the Sweet & Sour pork, Mongolian Beef and the Veggie Low Mein. It was all super tasty! The low mein had tons of freshly sautéed carrots, brocolli, zuchini, cabbage and snow peas in a great sauce. The Mongolian beef was super thin and tender sautéed with green onion in a rich sauce. The sweet and sour pork was very traditional but you could see and taste the quality... no skimpy cuts of pork or over breading! I was wonderful! The manager (or owner, not sure) was offering a free garlic noodle dish to any table with a check over $50... we had never tried garlic noodles before but they were so simple but so rich with a buttery garlic sauce that they paired perfectly with the rich sauces of the other dishes. Service and atmosphere was wonderful. We will be back to try more! *Bonus they had a large TV (no sound but with subtitles) playing the World Series!

Vegetarian options: The table next to us was a large all vegetarian group. They had tons of options on thier table which they all seemed to enjoy.

“My very first time at Waba Grill, even though it’s been in business for quite a few years. I visited the San Pedro location on Gaffey St. While it’s hard for me to review the atmosphere since I was ordering a To Go order, the store seemed clean and safe. The counter clerk (Gerry) was extremely friendly, especially after I told him it was my first time there. I asked if he could give me a general rundown of their menu, which he did, and he was super patient when I asked a couple of stupid questions lol. The food was tasty, but overpriced for the amount given. They also need to do better on the cut of their beef, as it had some gristle. This may be the beef purchased by corporate, as opposed to the prep worker’s skill in the kitchen. My impression is that the “kitchen staff” is simply 1 or 2 employees who simply assemble and heat the menu items. Nevertheless, Gerry was a good employee to have up front since he was both friendly and helpful. I may go back to give it one more try. Good location, clean and safe, with plenty of free parking in the back parking lot, and free side street parking as well.“

“This place is clean, welcoming, and the price is reasonable especially the half and half combos . Service was outstanding—both the owner and waiter were very friendly and attentive.

The jjajangmyun was especially good, and the half and half combo had generous portions. Loved how they sealed the sauce for takeout—no spills! Great spot for dine-in or takeout.“

“This is my first visit. This is a Chinese restaurant where you can eat lobster. In America, it's pretty much like eating lobster in a Chinese restaurant. The lobster here is sold by weight, so be careful. They have chicken made in the style of Peking duck, and it comes with 3 different parts and seasonings. I changed it up and it was quite delicious.The portions here are large, so it's a restaurant for 4 people or more.

It's quite clean and delicious here.
Kimchi and kkakdugi are the basics of a soup restaurant, and the basics are solid.
10 pieces of meat in soup? More than half of the soup and rice bowls were covered + Speaking of service, I guess the owner couldn't stand the water cups and side dish bowls being empty so he kept refilling them.
(However, note that there is no onion, pepper, garlic, and ssamjang sauce)
The prices are the same as other Korean restaurants in the US.

“This place is near my office so I like coming here for lunch or to pick up dinner. The bibimbap, soondoobu, kimchi fried rice are my absolute faves, not to mention the sushi rolls. You can tell the food is really fresh and the lady at the front is always so nice and friendly. A gem of a place where great food meets exceptional service.“

“I found my new poke spot. They have poke, ice cream, and SUSHI here! The poke is extremely fresh and the price is the lowest I could find around me. The sushi rolls are really big and fresh. “The curry is very good and not too heavy or salt. It goes very well with the poached egg and beef nikutama was very flavorful with the onions. The tempura was very soft and flaky. I've been here a couple times and loved getting the dashi broth and miso udon along with other tempura items available like the shrimp or zucchini.

There's a fair amount of seating along with outdoor seating. Plenty of parking available in the plaza with other restaurants there. The staff was nice and attentive to the items you wanted.“

“For a small take out poke place, this was great. The fish was fresh, and all the ingredients in our poke bowls were well thought out. We had the mango albacore poke bowl and the shitake chili tofu bowl.

Lots of people came and picked up takeout. They do have two small tables in the front on the sidewalk. I would definitely get their poke bowls again. Not much atmosphere needless to say.“

My wife and I were exploring LA and staying in LA for our sixth wedding anniversary we stopped here for lunch and we loved it, I got the chicken and beef large bowel and my wife got the veggie bowl and it was delicious. Just real authentic food without all the pretense of some of the beach city places that supposedly sell "Indian" food. “It’s a small restaurant but good quality. The food is delicious & has right Vietnamese taste. For you guys who like soupy food, you should try mì Quảng or different types of bún, not just Phở. My bf is a big fan of bánh mì (Vietnamese baguette). He said this restaurant would be in his top 3 Viet bánh mì.
The price here is so affordable. You’ll be surprised like “What?? In LA, with this price, are you kidding me?”. But dont forget to take cash with you. They’re good old fashioned Viet restaurant you should try.“

Normally I don't order chicken because to me it's usually bland and dry, but their teriyaki chicken was perfect. The steamed veggies were just the way I like them, they weren't crunchy and not overcooked &soggy. Tempura was really good: shrimp, sweet potato, carrot, and squash - all the ones I like! The only thing I was slightly disappointed in was the potato salad because it was American deli style and not Hawaiian. It was still very good though just a bit too mustardy for me. And I loved the pickled radish and carrots - wish they doled out a bit more though.“

The meats were good quality and tasty. They had just the right sauces and salts, and came around to help us organize and cook the meats. The side dishes were so good and when they ran low, the owners would fill them up again so we were never low on sides. Three bowls of rice was just enough for three people. We ordered the $88 meal which was plenty for three of us and would have been good for four. Will definitely go again.“
