This is not a Starbucks reserve anymore. They are still a Starbucks. They don’t have affogato (only Reserve had it).
The staff here were excellent - it's sad to see it closed.
Wow, I guess this one is closing as part of the recent closure list. I’m very bummed to hear as this is a wonderful location in a beautiful downtown. However, when there are three Starbucks within a 3 minute walk of each another (how did that even happen??), a closure is necessary. But, why this location of the three? Starbucks Reserve offers a calming and peaceful atmosphere, with excellent customer service and quick service even during busy times. The variety of seating options adds to the comforting experience for customers. The location is convenient, across the street from the big pavilion in front of the San Mateo County museum, making it a good spot for a relaxing drink or to work. Customers appreciate the spacious indoor seating, which makes it easy to find a comfortable place to sit. The quality of the coffee is satisfactory, and there are some reserve-specific drinks to try, along with sturdy cups that impress some visitors. However, the dimly lit and run-down bathrooms might not appeal to all guests. Staff are generally friendly, but communication skills could be improved, as one customer had a frustrating experience with a low-talking employee. Parking is available but requires payment. Despite some minor issues, the overall vibe of the restaurant remains pretty chill, making it a pleasant spot to chill out or enjoy a meal.
