“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Melody’s Place – A Quirky Gem in Lytle Creek
We stopped at Melody’s Place on a whim while passing through Lytle Creek, and it ended up being one of the sweetest surprises of our trip. This quirky little restaurant and bar, attached to the Scotland Store, has such a fun local vibe — it’s clearly a beloved gathering spot for the community.
Our bartender, Rae, was absolutely wonderful. She made us feel instantly welcome and mixed a great margarita. The gentleman from the store even gifted me a postcard, which was such a thoughtful touch.
The walls are packed with historic photos that give the place character, and the small gift shop adds to the charm. Melody’s Place is the kind of spot that makes you want to linger, chat with the locals, and soak up a bit of real Lytle Creek history.
A must-stop if you’re in the area!“

“went there tonight, I guess they were getting ready to close. the guy still seated us and served us prime rib dinner and salmon dinner. it was so good, and super friendly service. the cook was great, I had to have her brought out so I could thank her personally. got some great cakes to take home, and those were so tasty. I will definitely be going back to try more of there menu.“

“I tried this food a couple different times and I came back with the same opinion each time. unfortunately the food sucks. no flavor!!! I will not go back to this place and I wont go to the second restaurant (OMG) they own either. I will spend my money somewhere better.“

“The food is very authentic, down right to the drinks (banana flavored soda being one of them). The food is prepared right on the spot so not a place I'd recommend for a half hour lunch but definitely one I'd see myself coming again if I have a craving. The baleadas are top notch and so are the enchiladas (different from Mexican)“

“Excellent service and food. The staff is so kind and welcoming, and they have a huge menu with genuine Peruvian food to choose from. Perfect for any Peruvian family or anyone who just wants a great bite to eat! The inside is really clean and provides a great place to relax with good food after walking through Downtown Riverside.“

“excellent restaurant! first time being here! i recommend. greeted as soon as i walked in the door, seated for only a min. our waiter was amazing. elizabeth you need a rasie and a bonus!!!! the way you knew everything off the menu without looking at it!!! a manager needs to email me so i can let corporate has a goods waiter who tends to their customer and never allowed our drinks to run dry and the food was good!!!“
