“Joe is great. After our Uber drive dropped us in the wrong place, Joe would tell us how to get there, he took us there. It was only at the end of the block, but meant the world to us. He wouldn’t accept a tip, so went back to have a beer after dinner. He remembered our name. He is the true meaning of customer service and I’ve told all of my friends to go see him at the Showdown. “Great metal bar in Oakland with a massive courtyard, and makes you stop wondering where all the cute boys went! A nice reprieve from the steadily wealthier and wealthier Oakland scene, nobody is talking about their new sportscar here and lots of space to see great music most of it metal. 🎸 (though the last 2 metal guys I know who played here were pretty loaded now that I think of it one of them worked at nvidia and the other was a graduate degree engineer from my office ) there’s a baywheels bike share nearby in case you’re scared of leaving your bike locked up here. The courtyard has great seating for people watching, maybe if we do magic incantations all the cool art school girls who have great taste in music will return!“

“Came here with a friend while working in town. It was so good we went 3 days in a row.
We sat at the bar and Rodger gave us the Royal treatment!
The salmon salad, the salmon BLT, and the pastrami are all fire. And if you're like me and don't drink alcohol, definitely ask for a ginger beer <Yes they're alcohol-free!

“Jaime gave great service and we enjoyed our am fresco meal and drinks. I had the fajita salad and my husband had the French burger and onion rings. Very yummy! We will return next time in the City.“

“We recently held an evening wedding rehearsal dinner at Harrington's. Everything aspect of our event was excellent. Our guests and the family were very impressed.

“I have been a regular Tilden golfer since 2019 (especially on Tuesday nights...when the real pros come out!). The recent opening of The Overlook has been a fantastic addition to the course. They did a great job with the drink selection, with lots of local beers on tap. The outdoor space is so nice, with heat lamps and a fire pit. Also, if you haven't been out to Tilden before, you will love the views and serenity out there. It reminds me of getting a drink at the top of a ski resort in Tahoe. Bravo Tilden!“

“This bar is so cool! The Bartenders are so nice and make awesome drinks and and awesome kitchen! I tried one of their burgers my first time there and it was awesome! I like to go on Sundays when they have a karaoke crew come in! I always have fun coming out and meeting new and more people to sing with!“

The food is consistently good, the attitude towards the clients is good. I often go to this place and I not even once was disappointed. I recommend it with no hesitation.“

“My lady and I have stopped by to have a drink and always end up staying for a few. Good crowd of people having a great time, Don’t be surprised if you walk out having New friends. Drinks are reasonable and tasty and the Beer on tap is nice and Cold.“
“The Banks Club in Emeryville is the spot! Soul, funk tunes fill the air all day, and the DJ sets on weekends are just dope. Karaoke nights? Always a blast. They pour generously too. I've had countless great times here. It's like the Cheers of Emeryville - you're gonna love it. 100% recommend!“

“This is a hidden new treasure. I was there for a private event for 100 people. We were upstairs and downstairs in the back. The rest of the bar was still in action downstairs in the front. It is a great place with good music and vibe. The place is getting busier and busier so get there before you can get in. You can actually have a normal conversation at this place while enjoying the solid drinks and atmosphere. Trinity filled a hole in the bar restaurant business“
