“This is a restaurant I've been to numerous times and each time the space takes you somewhere special, a culinary journey really. Very upscale restaurant and environment. A perfect experience. The staff were all so awesome, fun group, and very professional as well. The food was incredible. The service is impeccable, presenting each dish to highlights it's freshness and meticulous construction. Highly recommend!“
“A gem. SF is so lucky to have a place like this to call its own. Non-caricature chef’s tasting: in every bite you feel the chef’s soul and peer into his vision (if you frequent nyc fine dining or read Pete Wells’ piece on Nōksu, fair or not, you know what I mean.) Seasonal ingredients, personified in the chef’s diverse culinary journey.During the winter months, be sure to round up a crew of 4-6 and pre-order the king crab. The vibe is cali-convivial, in the best sense of laid back but get it done way.Early weekday seating, the restaurant is sparsely seated and it feels like you are a guest in chef’s home, warm and inviting.“
“The entire evening was perfect - the service, excellent; the explanations of each course was right on; the food, outstanding; the wine list, perfect. In other words, it was an excellent experience. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff went out of their way to make the birthday special - from a hand written birthday card to a surprise additional birthday sweet with candle at the end. In addition the staff was very careful to meet our dietary restrictions. I cannot state more than this: it was noteworthy and will return.“
“Atmosphere was awesome, such great vibes. Food was delicious, high quality and very very well made. Obviously the sushi rolls were good, but the appetizers were awesome too!We came as a part of four, were seated immediately at the bar and had an awesome time enjoying wonderful food!“
“This was a truly wonderful and exceptional experience. My husband and I could not have asked for a better birthday celebration. The staff was so warm and welcoming and attentive and the food and wine was, of course, incredible. It was a one-of-a-kind evening that we’ll cherish.“
“. Most dishes taste great with their unique flavors, except the ling cod. It is way too salty.. The waitstaff attempted to provide attentive service, but due to a shortage of staff and a high volume of customers, service was kinda limited.Great ambience and charming decorations in the restaurant 5/5. Overall it’s a nice experience dining in here.“
“After 25 years, the speakeasy restaurant BIX is still as solid as the first day we visited. Hidden down a narrow alley in the financial district, BIX is one of San Francisco's true gems.On our most recent visit, we walked in on a Monday night; you would never know it was a weeknight, let alone a Monday. Every table was occupied by the time we left, and the live music was jumping.Since we didn't have a reservation, we decided to sit at the bar and order cocktails and a few snacks. My wife ordered an Aviation, and we watched the bartender squeeze a fresh lemon to make the drink. It was the best Aviation she had ever had outside of our home (I make a pretty good one).We ordered the deviled eggs and the steak tartar, which were excellent. The eggs had a hint of truffle, which, just typing this, is making me hungry. The steak tartar came deconstructed with toast and was mixed by the server for us; it was delicious.About an hour after we arrived, a piano player sat down and was joined by a bass player. It was the perfect sound for the room, and everyone seemed into it; that said, there wasn't much applause, but I always feel inappropriate at a restaurant unless there is a stage.I highly recommend BIX regardless of whether you have planned ahead or not. It's an excellent spot for dinner, drinks, or a little of both in a great space with exceptional service and delicious food.“
“We did enjoy the food, and the portion was appropreitate. However, as a 2-star michilin, we feel the environment is not up to our expectation. The room temperature was too low, we all felt pretty chilly throughout the dinner. The wait time between each dish was toooo long, a 2.5 hours dinner became almost 3.5 hours. And the bathroom has a bit wired smell. Maybe we just had too high expectation to a two-star.“
“Exceptional restaurant and bar on the main floor with the most beautiful lounge area upstairs where there are views of the water and the San Francisco skyline. The lounge has a pool table, and a DJ was playing on a Saturday night. Thanks to the maitre 'd for being such a great host!“
“I wish I could give more than five stars. I reached out to Tonya to see if we could get pizza making lessons with a small group of friends (because the pizza at Anaviv's Table is so good). Tonya was enthusiastic and flexible about helping me set up the event. The event was run by Darren with help from Siyoon. Darren was patient, engaging, and deeply knowledgeable. He guided us through every step of the process, giving us tips and tricks along the way, and by the end we had both a lot of pizzas to enjoy right then and plenty of dough to bring home to make more ourselves. Siyoon helped everything run smoothly so that we could all have a good time, and as a parting gift, gave us each a saffron lemon bar to take home with us.My wife and I have always enjoyed visiting Anaviv's Table in all of its incarnations. We're excited about how they continue to grow, and just so impressed by everyone on their staff.Thank you!“
