“This is a very cute ice cream shop and my kids loved the old school ice cream shoppe aesthetic when we visited. It was very packed and there was very limited seating, so as soon as you see an open table, I highly suggest you send someone over from your party to reserve it. They did get part of our order wrong, but as soon as we noticed and brought it back to the front counter, they swiftly exchanged it for the correct order. It is a bit on the expensive side, so be prepared to spend quite a bit more than you'd spend at cold stone or baskin robbins.“
“Austin's Coffee Crafter Cafe is a delightful haven with a cozy and homelike atmosphere, emitting pleasant vibes. The dessert options are delicious. The breakfast and coffee varieties are diverse.I opted for the green and cheddar cheese with eggs on a bagel, which proved to be exceptionally tasty. The matcha latte with whole milk, without sweetener, was pleasantly devoid of any grassy taste. The cranberry pumpkin cake bread offered a delightful blend of sour-sweet flavors, while the vegan chocolate chip muffins were chocolatey, luscious, and pleasantly cakey rather than dense.Overall, a delightful culinary experience and welcoming baristas! The cafe is busy in the weekend, so I would recommend to go on the weekdays if you want a spot to dine in.Kid-friendliness: Crayons and pencil colors are available on some the tables for anyone to use.“
“An absolutely amazing restaurant, on par if not better than other local places like the Red Wood Cafe in Modesto or the Market Tavern in Stockton! A Matter of Taste brings unique made from scratch dishes that are expertly crafted, served in a wonderful atmosphere! We had the fish tacos and chicken piccata, with pretzels as an hors d'oeuvre, and had their chocolate cake and blueberry cheesecake for dessert. Don't sleep on their house made desserts which are amazing! Hands down. Best cheesecake I've ever had, and I've tried a lot of cheesecakes! Not only is the food amazing, but it can't be beat at this very reasonable price point! The service was also impeccable, big thanks to our server Dean! My wife and I will be coming back for a fancy date night soon!“
“So delicious! I’d give 10 stars if I could. The only problem was that all I wanted was one but the flavors looked so good that I couldn’t decide so I ended up with a dozen? The owner Ben was super nice and helpful in helping me decide which I wanted!“
“Dutch Bros is getting more popular by the minute - it gets 5 stars in my books because the coffee and the service are great (try out the Golden Eagle blended for pure joy!), that said the irony of it becoming a victim of it's own success is that you're going to need to have some patience while they get you through the queue.“
“Let me start by saying the ENERGY here is sooooo great, you can really tell the entire staff loves working at Lucille!! Food is amazingggg, I’ve switched up my choices each time and have yet to be disappointed!! Don’t be afraid to try something new here, it’s all so delicious.10/10 would bring friends/family/coworkers here for a cute outingDietary restrictions: They can & will accommodate your dietary needs!! My best friend has a dairy intolerance and they help her out every time!“
“This is one of my favorite places to go! The wine selection is wonderful and the staff is knowledgeable about the wines. The food is incredible. We always got the bruschetta with burrata and it's great. The balsamic reduction drizzled on the top with pesto and tomatoes is just lovely. We recently tried the smoke, whipped feta. We had a hard time not finishing the whole thing, it was that good! I've taken so many friends here. My company has get togethers here from time to time. At this point this place is just part of my culture. Camp 4 has been in Modesto for a while and we are lucky to have it!“
“Googled “vegan food near me” on our way home from Turlock to Stockton and so glad we found this place! GREAT food & service! We ordered the Cashew “Chicken”, Orange “Chicken”, “Chicken” strips & Impossible burger and everyone cleared their plates! We also had the Vietnamese coffee, Thai tea and Lemon Cheesecake, all super yummy! Wish they had a restaurant like this in Stockton! We’ll be back! ?“
“Great costumer service, very helpful. I appreciated being acknowledged when you are first seen. Burritos are small, but it was filling, great salsa. Plenty of drinks to choose from and they are tasty. It's a small place with swivel chairs in front of window, with table seating outside. Will definitely come back. My drink, marshmallow rose latte had marshmallows on top and rose flavor is not overpowering (make sure you mix it in).“
“I recently visited Skewers to savor the delightful flavors of Middle Eastern cuisine, which I consider a true treasure. While the dishes were delicious and aimed for authenticity, I found them not as spicy as I had hoped. Nevertheless, the meat was well-seasoned, and I longed for the presence of Bolani and Mantu. The Hummus and rice, however, were absolutely delightful.“
“In town for a youth baseball tournament and found this spot on yelp. Delish! I had the California melt and it was super tasty and also just a really nice portion and presentation. It wasn't massive and dripping but it was just a perfect size and tremendously filling. Fries were great. Husband and son had club sandwiches and both really liked their lunch too. Would definitely come back when in town for baseball next. Only drag was Pepsi products which I can't stand. Would have killed for a Diet Coke with my yummy sandwich.“
“We moved to Modesto last year and have been looking for a place like this. Stumbled upon it while getting donuts at bakers donut (do not recommend). Got the mini pancakes and cotija ice cream along with the fresas con crema…. DELICIOUS. Staff is super friendly and a commons and the place is clean!!! Highly “
“The drinks are on the pricier side but it's the type of establishment where it's so worth it. The food is fine for finger food and to have with your drink, the staff is sweet and attentive they really go above and beyond. The vibe is definitely classy, and relaxing. Live music nights are for a cute date idea.“
“Absolutely obsessed with their Salchipapas, one of the many delicious plates they offer!! Their "Salsa de la casa" is so top just like the aguas frescas especially the Horchata my favorite. Amazing environment to chill after a stressful day with bomb music. The service is one of the many things i love about this place, so well maintained and clean. We noticed some changes in the ownership, and it's honestly the best thing they could've done! 10/10 recommend.“
“Dan M was our host and he bent over backwards to make our visit enjoyable. The beer was truly a craft; the flavo(u)rs were thoroughly enjoyable, varied, interesting and delicious. If I lived handily, and not on the other side of the Pacific Ocean (in New Zealand) I would become a club member. I admire the altruistic driving ethos, the love of beer, the enjoyment of life and the zing for living that comes from the place in general, and Dan M in particular. If I was allowed to give it six stars, I would. What a magnificent experience!! Thank you, Dan. Thank you. Thank you!“
“OMG! The Soup today was beyond awesome, always clean and friendly. The art on the walls is a must see. My Sandwich was one of the best. You will no go away hungry and price...$12.99 is money well spent. Parking can be an issue but it's worth driving around the block to fine somewhere to park. Lot's to choose from off the menu.“
“Window pick up so actually that atmosphere was my vehicle. Lol but I didn't want to give them a low score on that because outdoor was neat and clean. The food was great The service was great. The workers were well groomed and spoke well.“
“Large beer selection, games, pinball, darts, shuffleboard, and other activities to keep people of all ages, tastes, and interests entertained and satisfied. Also often has food available and special activities planned throughout the week. Close to MJC and downtown. Definitely a good place to check out if you are in the area.“
“Bean and Leaf Cafe is the place locals are glad to know and have in their neighborhoods. Inside, they have a corner dedicated to local art and has a cozy, familiar feel, warm and inviting as compared to all those well known chains and what they present. On top, the flavors are better here. All their food and drinks show the care you'd want and hope to find. For example, their triple berry scone is light with a nice hint of sweetness, vs the ones you usually get that are dense and have a finish like a kids breakfast cereal. This is one of the few places that the Mrs will actual have a coffee drink. Again, it's lightly flavored and works well together vs the heavy handed flavors of chain stores. I've generally been treated well by chain store servers who put up with my bad jokes, but Bean and Leaf employees are helpful, friendly and go out of their way to make sure your order was right. They're a cut above.“
“It was nice that there were no long lines and the gentleman behind the counter was helpful and polite. Right next to Raley's the boba drink and Coconut smoothie were excellent and I had the strawberry banana frozen yogurt was delicious. Two thumbs up .“
“Me and my coworkers tried the burritos and got a vampiro taco with it.First, the burrito was on point. Good ratio of rice, whole pinto beans and finely cut carne asada. Also had sour cream, onions, cilantro, and that green sauce. ?But there Star of the show was the vampiro taco. I don't know how, I don't know why but that thing is fire ??? I haven't stopped thinking about that dang thing. I'm coming back and I'm getting 10 of them things.Clean establishment, friendly staff and delicious food. What else do you want?“
“Loved it! 1st time visit on a Sunday afternoon. Super friendly and fast service and delicious ciders. Tried a flight of five ciders: apricot, raspberry, black currant, vanilla brown sugar, and cranberry. I usually like fruity ciders best, but the vanilla brown sugar was my favorite. Raspberry was a close second. Had a Mexican food truck there with tasty tacos.Small place in a warehouse setting, but had lots of outdoor seating and set up a heater for us. Also had a tv to watch the football game.“
“The food was really good and the portions were perfect. The waitress was so sweet she brought us everything we needed. I would definitely eat here again if I was in the area. The inside decor was nice and kitchey-ese. The hummus and Peta were delicious, too. Very homey. The meat for my gyro was perfect and fell apart as you chewed it. Lovely all around.Parking: There limited parking and the parking that is there is like one or two hour parking.“
“Was traveling down the 99 and in desperate need of something easy to eat while driving, freshly made, and not fast food. Their falafel wrap was incredible and well worth the $10. The red zhug (spicy red sauce) they included was milder than I expected but delicious. I love spicy things but not everyone does, so I could easily share this with others. Friendly service to boot. I’ll definitely make it a place I stop at whenever traveling the Central Valley.“
“We had lunch here Tuesday. The service was prompt, but she didn't hear my husband correctly. He ordered the Southwest Chicken Salad and she brought a chicken salad sandwich. I didn't even see that on the menu. I had the ham, brie and fig panini. He decided not to say anything. Both sandwiches were good. It would be nice if they had a choice other than chips or "you can buy a salad".UPDATE 5/20//23Tonight we attended a charity event for Community Hospice. The decorations were amazing. The food was all excellent. The Greek style salad was very flavorful and I especially liked the feta and olives. The main course beef was cooked to perfection and so tender. The couscous and carrot souffle were tasty sides. The Baklava was not as gooey as I'm used to, but still quite tasty. I've also been here for a couple other events since the original lunchroom and definitely give the 5 stars for events.“
“My daughter and I had a really good early dinner here at Harvest Moon. The portions are big and their staff is friendly. It's a small space inside, but it has a home feel to it, maybe because it once could have been or because it has a very welcoming vibe. The music they were playing was great from Aretha Franklin to Whitney Houston and others, not at all loud, but pleasantly heard. We forgot our left overs and the waitress who took our order ran out and gave us our left over container. She didn't have to do that as most restaurants do not, but she did and that was really nice of her to do. I will definitely be back I loved our food and everything about this restaurant!“
“The last time I was here is the last time I will visit.I went for a table for 1 and found someone "else" under my table. This ruined the vegan experience for me since my waitress insisted on stomping them out of the location with a swift crunch from a napkin.I can still smell the meat lingering while she did that to my uninvited guest. We could have got along, but they killed them. The food was ok, though their selection is better for vegans. One time they gave me a meat burger even though the waitress made it clear that I was vegan. If you don't mind the sound of crunching & the lingering smell of something that shouldn't be on the menu -- I highly recommend this adventure into the unknown.Use grub hub for a better experience of this place.Vegetarian options: vegan impossible protein. vegan cheeses.“
“Came and got a coffee ☕ because apparently downtown Modesto doesn't really have much going on at 9am on a Sunday morning ? but if it didn't, we wouldn't have found this cool little spot. Has a nice upper deck to hang out and do whatever on (including sleep) I assume the owner or manager are Star Wars fans. Live long and prosper ?“
“This is a great drive up authentic Hawaiian, shaved ice, joint, authentic Hawaiian shaved ice the best texture just like snow and tons and tons of flavors! My favorite is guava, banana and blue Hawaiian if you let them put it the amount on that they choose it's usually light enough syrup to not be over powered with thick syrup but also plenty flavorful! The only thing that I don't love is that it's a difficult location to find because it's right off button street and that turns so confusing we accidentally turned onto the freeway because we're not from Manteca but other than that I highly recommend! I order the small which is only $5 but it's actually what u would expect the large to be!“
“Ooooooommmmmyyyyy goddddd where have u been all my life. Worth the drive if you want fresh aquafrescos!! More flavors than your starbursts candy. Definitely come support this spot at the grub hub location in modesto and a few blocks off the freeway“
“Where everybody knows your name. Love going to RCH and supporting small business owners. Iced tea, latte in the raw and white mochas are our go to. All the paninis and egg sausage bagel sandwiches are delish. It's not your average coffee shop. It's simply the “
