My daughter loved the ramen, and my husband, who's picky about refried beans, was impressed. They put so much meat in the tacos that I could have made 2 more tacos. Even the ramen was loaded. “The food here is decent but we tried it 2x after our acupuncture appt, my husband and I and it just doesn’t feel / taste super authentic. We took my son some menudo home to be the ultimate judge. He also said the menudo was plain no flavor. I didn’t clock on don’t recommend because it is reasonably priced. Service was rather slow though, my husband can drink a diet soda like I can my wine , and they just didn’t keep up with it for him. So if in a rut and need food and don’t care about flavor Ten this is your spot.“

“I absolutely love this place. Everything that I've ordered has been absolutely delicious. My favorite is the steak fajita burrito. The steak is tender and juicy. Also, nowhere else I've tried has a better chicken pozole. The Enchilada Suizas are amazing. The Chile Rellenos, mmmm so good. I'm somewhat of a regular and still look forward to going back.“

“The service here is amazing! Our server Rosie was incredibly kind and welcoming, and so was the owner Pepe. I ordered a taco salad and WOW… 1000/10! The asada is flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the avocado salsa has a great kick if you love a little spice. The chicken taquito appetizer comes with hands-down some of the best guacamole I’ve had, and don’t even get me started on the micheladas, they’re the best! I usually come here for the menudo, which is truly a hidden gem in the area, but this taco salad completely won me over. Everything was fresh, delicious, and worth coming back for! Thank you Pepe!!“

“came here for the first time last night because I just opened a tow yard close by and the place seemed to be poppin. was a awesome choice. pulled in and the lot had classic cars and low lows parked outside. that was the first sign that it was meant to be. ordered fish tacos and they were bomb! wife ordered flautas for the babies and they had cheese inside. apparently they were amazing also. the salsa bar.... every salsa was very good I had to have all of them. good vibes! was leaving and a guy was walking to patio with a burrito the size of a football no lie! will be a new spot for the family for sure!“

“Cenaduría Oaxaqueña Donaji truly exceeded my expectations. The restaurant is set in a house with limited parking, but plenty of street parking nearby. Luckily, we found a spot inside. As we stepped under the large white tarp, we were welcomed like guests at a family gathering, I immediately felt at home. While waiting for our table, they kindly seated us next to a heater, making the experience even more comfortable. From there, we could watch the food being prepared, and it was nothing short of an art form. After a brief 15-minute wait, we were seated and ready to enjoy our meal. I tried a tlayuda for the first time, and it was absolutely delicious, loaded with quesillo, beans, and three types of meat: cecina, chorizo, and what appeared to be chuleta. The portions were incredibly generous. We also shared a quesadilla with epazote, which was just as flavorful. With those two dishes, my wife and I had more than enough to eat. To top it off, the café de olla was incredible, and the hot chocolate was simply exquisite. I highly recommend visiting this hidden Oaxacan gem in Riverside!“

“Great place! Chill and friendly atmosphere. I was glad to see they serve nopales on their Aztec tacos. Nopales are very healthy, nutritious, and delicious, but sadly, not many places offer them. That’s part of what sets this place apart.
Also, the service was outstanding! 👍🏼 They made me feel very welcome there.
I’d say both the food and service are 5 stars. I don’t live in the area, but if I did it would be my go to lunch spot.“

“Best Mexican food restaurant and Michelades around! I love their Campana and Ceviche ? My husband says they have the best Menudo outside of Mexico ? Shrimp Fajitas are BOMB (Huge shrimp)! Their Salsas and Guacamole are delish! We've been coming here for 10 years and they never disappoint ? You know it's authentic and great when some of the waitresses don't speak much English ? They even have karaoke every Friday, I believe ? Don't let the area fool you! They say the best restaurants are in the worst areas ?

“We did not know what to expect when we walked into this little, unassuming restaurant.
What we discovered was the most delicious Mexican food I have ever had. It is definitely not fast food, but you could tell the chefs put their heart and pride into each dish. The fish was wonderful. My husband was so impressed with the soup. I have never been particularly impressed by tortillas, but these were the best I have tasted. I will remember the hot chocolate and try to replicate it at home- probably to no avail. I am glad we took a chance with this place.“

“I have been going to Templo del Sol since I moved to Riverside about 10 years ago. This is where I go when I'm not in Mexico (which is often) and to me it's just like being in Mexico. I especially like the way they serve Albóndigas soup at the beginning of the meal. I have not been here for a while but the waitress would always remember us and verify that I wanted carnitas and jamaica (my usual). Some reviewers complained that the food is not authentic--well, the cuisine varies in different parts of Mexico so there are differences in the way a dish might be prepared. This is one of the very few restaurants that I actually enjoy giong to in Riverside.“

“This is my favorite Rubio's mostly because of the staff that work there. We are regulars and they are all so friendly and accommodating. The food is always fresh and they get the orders correct on the 1st try. I love that the menu changes periodically so you can try new things. They have good deals and reasonable prices. Easy parking, inside and outside seating and clean and tidy. Special shout-out to the manager Jorge and the assistant manager but they have all been amazing to us over the years. Update 8/22/25 came to get a breakfast burrito for my dad wanted to add bacon until i noticed the price! They asked for 3.81 for added bacon to the burrito, and they put a bunch of potatoes so basically my dad ate a potato burrito! Never getting the breakfast burrito again.“

“This place is pretty good . We had the fish taco meal for about $13 dollars . Came with rice and beans . Let me tell you the tacos were piping hot and fresh 10/10 . They will bring you lemons and peppers witch I have to also add the pepper was seasoned, now that was a game changer , I spilt it open took the seeds out and I lace it on my tacos 10/10 . We also shared 3 rolled tacos . It was also good but I will add pretty expensive but definitely worth every penny . We used the chips they gave us as nachos with the green sauce they have and leftover beans rice and other leftover veggies . All in all a perfect meal .. I complemented the chef cause if the food is perfect the chef should know . Oh and horchata taste like Cinnamon Toast Crunch milk . 10/10 but no refill . Only juices are free refill . Next time“

I loved that they have a salsa bar with so many great options 🌶️ The food was excellent — the Fuego Burrito was huge and loaded with flavor, and the Taco Perron really hit the spot. We enjoyed a pleasant atmosphere, the setting is tropical nicely covered in plants and bright inside. It’s a kid friendly restaurant that’s for sure waitresses are super friendly, & we’re welcoming of my kids! Unlike other places that can have less temp. With kids, & make u feel uncomfortable immediately! Since we really enjoyed it, we are now back on a Saturday & we are hungry looking forward to new foods. “My sister and I went for lunch today and everything was amazing! We tried the remodeled location in Anaheim hills a few days ago and it was actually disappointing. All the nostalgic decor is gone and the design is actually quite boring. The food came out cold, the flavor was different (even though the menu is exactly the same), and the salsa recipe at the Anaheim hills location has definitely was changed. I have to say I absolutely love the Riverside location and the nostalgic vibes that they continue to bring. The salsa is consistently the same and the food is always good! The service at the Riverside location is also taught notch! Please Riverside don't ever change! My family and I will always love and dine here!“
