“It was clear from the moment we walked in that the restaurant was severely understaffed. There was only one server, Alan, working the floor, man aging orders, seating guests, and serving tables. Despite the chaos, he remained calm, courteous, and genuinely tried his best to make sure everyone was taken care of. He apologized for the delays and kept checking in when he could, which we really appreciated.

While the wait times were long, the effort from our server made a big difference. He was doing the job of three people and still managed to stay professional and kind under pressure. I hope management addresses the staffing issues soon—because with the right support, this place could easily be a five-star experience“

“I tried the 3 roll combo from their Togo Special menu and the food was better than expected. I got the Dragon Roll, Amagi Roll & Hot Night Roll, and by the time I finished half a portion, I felt full already. The Togo Special is an awesome deal, and I'll definitely come back next time when I'm craving rolls.“

“Sushi was really good. It was a Friday night and service was fast. The only complaint is their mandatory tip that they charge all their customers. I don't like this practice. Raise your prices and pay your servers more. If it's mandatory, it is not a tip! Even worse, they didn't bring me an itemized receipt showing the tip was already paid. They just have the total price (which already includes 15%) and then leave a line for a tip and total. Horrible business practice! Luckily for me, I look out for things like that. I'm sure they get many suckers who tip more than they wished to on accident.“

“Came here with my best friend the other night and we ordered $150 worth of food because we were starving?. All of our dishes (about 10) were served quickly, hot, and cooked well. I strongly recommend the Curry Sukiyaki, salt and pepper spare ribs, and my friend loved the shabu house rolls. The staff were so friendly despite us coming in an hour before closing lol. I recommend coming after 8pm, theres fewer people and you can enjoy a quiet dinner. We definitely will be back!“

“This place was exceptional and the two working on the evening of 12/5-6 were great. He did awesome on the rolls and I’ll definitely go with the Cilantro roll from now on and she was such an awesome server/bar tender and sweet. I’ll definitely be back when in Riverside especially if these two are there. The place is far better than current reviews or at least my experience was.“

“First time visiting this location, and the bartender was the person who did amazing for us tonight. He greeted us as soon as we arrived and gave us a place to sit. The drinks that he made for us were on point. Super nice and friendly guy. If we come back,it will be to have a drink . The food was ok. Also no happy that they still charge you a 3% extra on your bill for a law that pass on July first for business to stop doing that.“

“DO NOT JUDGE THIS BOOK BY ITS COVER. I'm going to be honest , we walked in, saw it was empty, and the furniture and lighting look older so we totally judged and we almost walked out. Now I see the money is spent on the fish, it's quality fish for sure. This restaurant apparently has been here for 17. Absolutely delicious and fresh. The slices are thick and just heaven. We drive 35 minutes with decent traffic to come eat here. I am soooo happy we found this place. This is our go to sushi spot. The staff is sooo friendly and the chef is a pro. I can't say enough nice things about this restaurant. Chef is always so sweet to our son when we come in and he is always so gracious and grateful for our drive to eat at his place. I had the One Night Stand it's always delicious. The edamame is fire too. Never disappoints.
