Vanilla Fish Reviews
Nice place good food however a terrible trend in sushi nowadays is to drown every roll in so much sweet sauces oof always ask no sauce
Rolls are so good and fresh! Food is great every time and great service.
The bathrooms have been extremely dirty every single time I have been there. The food is delicious, but I’ve seen many workers go into the restroom while it’s out of all supplies. It’s gross knowing there’s no soap inside of a restroom and seeing the chefs use it. It makes me wonder how clean our food can be considering there’s no soap for them to use.
Vanilla Fish features an extensive menu where every item is delicious, not just the sushi. The chicken karaage and chicken fried rice are flavorful, and the "hot night" roll is a standout. The fatty and tasty salmon with a good fish to rice ratio is also a highlight. The restaurant has a cozy interior, but it can feel very claustrophobic when busy. Service can sometimes be slow, with long waits for food, often taking around two hours to get a second round. The restaurant offers a good price, especially with the pay w/ cash discount, but the slow service and long wait times can be frustrating. Additionally, the bathrooms are often very dirty, which raises concerns about cleanliness and food safety, especially since some staff members have been observed using the restroom when out of supplies and without soap. Despite these issues, the overall quality and variety of food make Vanilla Fish a popular choice for sushi in Riverside. The only downside is the slow drink refills and occasional lapses in hygiene.
