Nice local taqueria. Had the carnitas plate. Several grades above for presentation and attentive staff. Salsa bar had several Nice options. Dinner was tasty and promptly served. It could have been hotter, but I like my food served hot. Plentiful tortillas. All in all a very good experience and happy to return!
Very good Mexican food had chili reliant and it was excellent
came here with my boyfriend on a whim trying to find a new place for Mexican food! It was absolutely delicious, I got the Regular burrito with carne asada and he got the california burrito it was to die for!! I absolutely will be coming back and adding this onto the rotation for date nights. Everything was reasonably priced and they have a salsa bar for while you wait. Taqueria La Rana is a taqueria in Rocklin, located in a small shopping center on Stanford Ranch Road next to a 7-Eleven. The restaurant has walk up counter service, an overhead display menu, a large menu, and enough tables inside to make dining inside very comfortable and convenient. The inside is really clean. Service was very nice and the employees were very friendly and super sweet and accommodating. You order at the front and they bring the food to you. They have a self service salsa bar and soda, and complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa bar had several nice options.
The carnitas plate was several grades above for presentation. The flavor and moist texture to the carnitas was absolutely on point. The rice, beans, and trio of sour cream, guacamole, and pico de gallo balanced off the enormous portion. Plentiful tortillas. Dinner was tasty and promptly served. The QuesoBirria tacos came with three tacos and a delicious side of consome. The tacos were overwhelmingly meaty and cheesy and made with perfect seasonings and the consome was the perfect pairing. The quesa birria tacos were really good and satisfying. The Bacon Breakfast Burrito and the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito were mixed so well, seasonings on point and a perfect cook. The Regular burrito with carne asada and the california burrito were absolutely delicious. The burritos were big and reasonably priced. The strawberry empanada really hit the spot. Taqueria La Rana is a must try for the diner looking for authentic Mexican cuisine and may have the best breakfast burritos in the Sacramento Area.
