One man show on a Saturday but once he figured out we were there he quickly took our order and prepared it. They only had soft drinks and beer so I couldn't get my horchata fix. The salsa bar had a delicious Jalapeno Crema dip that was out of this world. Food was pretty good. Service is just like most places. I have to have to engage the person working there first. It would be nice to see places that the employees are taught to greet their customers as they walk in. Classic Californians for you. Although the restaurant had a lot of decor, it still felt fake. Like a fake smile.
The owner who works the whole place by himself is grumpy and has no customer service skills. Food is pretty good but I like to eat local and spend my hard earned money at good food and friendly service. I’ve been coming here for three years now because it’s so close to my house but this guy just sets me off. I know the restaurant business isn’t easy.
