Another affordable spot I tried was Lee Fu Ji. It’s a small cash-only place, but the auntie running it is extremely friendly and welcoming.
We ordered the xiao long bao, pan-fried buns, leek pockets, and pot stickers, and everything was under $10, which is hard to beat these days. The only dish that was just okay was the xiao long bao. The soup inside had mostly leaked out, probably because the skin was a bit too thin.

Have always passed by this rather big strip mall and wondered what was in there, so we decided to explore a bit this weekend. There’s a food court in there that yes, is rather dismal and worn looking, but hey, if there are many Asians eating the Asian food there, then I’m gonna try it out! We ordered potstickers and beef rolls for takeaway.

My wife discovered this hole in the wall place ar the GW Supermarket Food Court. She loves this chive and egg pocket.
It’s called Jiu Cai He Zi. I think it is called “Chive Pockets” or “Chive Boxes.”
Really fresh but it takes a little time to make so we order ahead of time. We call 20-30 minutes ahead of time or we order and then go grocery shopping.
