“I come here almost everyday nit necessarily for the donuts, although they are always made fresh and still so soft and warm by the time I get there each morning around 8 or so. I go here for their wide variety of sandwiches made to order and the sizes are very filling for a very awesome price. I suggest the submarine on croissants. Consists of pastrami, ham, turkey ham and bacon. With always so fresh lettuce ,tomato, onions and jalapeno(can be omitted if requested). They close around 1-1:30 but do sell out which will make them close earlier. Also have special order donuts and drinks. Coffees lattes slushy kind of drinks. Family owned. And family is the welcome you get and service they give, like family..“

“- Tried the hot cheetos half hot dog half mozarella ~ the hot cheetos complemented the mozarella section but the hotcheetos & hot dog combination felt flat to me and it’s a bit messy to eat, ended up a lot of orange crumbs on my clothes T_T- For me, the original one w/ sugar still tastes better- Love the donuts! “This place is comfortable little donut shop that hands down just served me the best breakfast sándwich of my life! It might have not been the healthiest but I'm not counting calories. I order number 13 a croissant with bacon, eggs, ham and jalapeños and it was salty, savory, soft, crunchy with a touch of spiceness. I'm honestly sad I decided to share it. I also orded a vanilla ice coffee and it was deliciously creamy, sweet, and just bitter enough for me. Honest if you skip out on this place it's truly your loss. Sorry I don't have any pictures of the sandwich it was hard to pass it to the next person let alone take a picture.“

“The name is kinda dumb, but the donuts are excellent. I'm not sure Star Donuts donuts are quite at Station Donut's level of donut perfection, but Star's donuts are still MUCH better than virtually all other donut shops. Not better than Station, not number one, but a close second. Star's donuts are large, fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced. The selection of available donuts is excellent. Refreshingly, the staff at this donut depot is extra-extra-excellent. I needed a dozen mixed donuts for my street-pigs club meeting members. The members of the club I'm in not only helpful, but also highly critical, caustic, and unreasonably demanding. An odd mix that ends up making them endearing in the same way victims of the Stockholm Syndrome end up sympathizing, appreciating, and liking, even loving their tormentors. So I had a difficult and demanding peer group to satisfy, donut-wise, and I had slightly less time than a hot-second to make my interaction and transaction with Star Donuts happen. The Road Pigs Club are punctual and inflexible. If I was even 20 seconds late to the meeting, I would be abandoned and scorned. Were that to happen, I would have a dozen donuts to console myself with. No need. I jumped out of my car and jumped into Star Donut's door, barked my need for a dozen mixed donuts without so much as a greeting or salutation of any kind. The wonderful staff leapt eagerly at the task, with big smiles and no negative noises or remarks. Literally within seconds I had a box of a dozen donuts in hand and was out the door on my way to my appointment with the "pigs." The members in my club LOVED the donuts. They tried to eat all of them, but since I bought them, they allowed to snag one, which is very uncharacteristic for my fellow road-pigs.

If you need donuts, and you can't quite come to terms with Station Donuts, buy your donuts from Star Donuts. Despite their dorky name, their donuts, prices, and staff are superlative. Better than every other donut shop anywhere in the world, other than SD, naturally. I've heard that the reputation donuts have of making you fat, or that they are possibly unhealthy, and at best are "empty" calories, is completely false and baseless. I can't vouch for the source or voracity of the new position the public should take in relationship to donuts, that donuts are the new health food, and will contribute to better health, all while slimming the eater's waist-line to athletic levels never experienced before, but I can't dismiss this new paradigm either. Whether donuts will help you to live longer, as is rumored, is impossible to determine, but in case the don't, they are still really, really, really good. Buy your donuts from Star Donuts.

I know it's not their fault but it's not our fault either. Plus $13.50 seems like a lot of money for 2 medium coffees one bear claw and one ham and cheese croissant.“

“I moved to La Verne a year ago and was in search of a new local donut shop. I came across this one and knew they were it! Their donuts are always fresh and delicious. And their bagels are amazing! I am so happy I gave them a try they are my go-to donut shop. Everyone is always so friendly and they are quick and efficient. ?“

You can keep your Dunkin Donuts which I grew up on back in 1989 long before they came to California and compared to Kenny's Donuts I'd rate them a 3 stars out of 10. I don't understand why everyone always gives Krispy Kreme such high praise for their donuts cuz personally they barely get 1 star out of 10. I won't rate their shops just their donuts cuz I'm sure their employees and the restaurants would get way more stars than the generic taste of a simple glazed donut which I sadly wasted money on trying it out back in 2002. You want great taste and quality you go to Kenny's Donuts and I promise you'll be going back every morning but don't go before 430-5am cuz they make everything fresh and warm after they open at 3am and all the good stuff takes time to make but I usually go around 515-530am when I know everything is made and still warm and there is never more than 2 people inside. If you like regular glazed, glazed twist, glazed donut holes, maple/chocolate bars, jelly, then Kenny's is the best place to go and every donut is $1.45 - $1.65, or you can order a breakfast sandwich, to go with a hot cup of coffee, or a made to order blended drink off the wall picture menu, or a cold drink from their 2 big drink refrigerators. If you're a fan of racing legend John Force you might just see him there, he's a longtime regular and goes often. I stood in line behind John a few months ago they even have his signed picture up on the wall. He lives only a few minutes away. I highly recommend Kenny's Donuts nextdoor to Canyon Inn bar & grill.“
