Dutch Bros Coffee is a new drive-thru only branch located across from Sacramento City College on Sutterville Road, having held its soft opening and grand opening on January 4, 2026. The building is big because it used to be an old KFC. The outside and the drive-through area look nice. For the opening, the location offered a promo of $3 medium drinks all day until 11 PM and was giving out free stickers with drink purchases.
The location features both a walk-up ordering window and a typical Dutch Bros double drive-thru, which helps manage lines. There is no inside lobby. The parking lot is not that big and is described as very small, with an awkward setup that prevents customers from returning to the lot after using the drive-thru to sit and enjoy their beverage. It is right off a busy street in a residential area and could use more lighting around the building.
Service is consistently noted as friendly, helpful, upbeat, and much appreciated, even during challenges like pouring rain. The staff stationed at the drive-thru lane were ready to go. Inside, there is a lot of room and many drink stations to get drinks out faster. Lines can get really big, especially on drop days, but they move quick. Drinks like a medium skinny latte with whip and a white coffee latte with some add-ins are reported to taste good.
