The Best in Town
Was in the mood for some shrimp and chips, and this place nailed it! Service was kind and quick. Got the shrimp combo (1 piece of fish) and it came with a couple of onion rings. Couldn’t be happier about this choice! If you are in the area, don’t skip on this treat. Parking is a bit limited, with about 3 spots behind the restaurant. I got lucky and secured a spot. This mom and pop joint is now added to the rotation whenever I’m in Sac. Thanks again!
I believe these are the same people that's running this place since I was a kid. Customer service is always nice. And if you're looking for some fish and chips try them out pretty good place.

Based on the reviews, H Salt Fish & Chips Seafood Galley is a very small, underrated mom and pop diner in Sacramento. It is a real hole in the wall jewel with limited parking and only 6 tables. The ambiance is a small old diner with no bathrooms, but customers do not come for the ambiance; they come for the food. The food is authentic and tastes just like pub style fish and chips. The battered fish and shrimps are perfectly crisp and tasty. The 2 piece fish & chips comes with tartar sauce, ketchup, and salt and vinegar. Customers also recommend the vegetables tempura, seven prawns, onion rings, zucchini, and mushrooms. The fish is wonderful with light crispy breading and soft nicely cooked fish. The prices are unbeatable; $10 to $15 will get a lot of food. The staff is wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Service can be a little slow because everything is made fresh, but it is well worth the wait.
