Kalua pig had way too much liquid smoke and more cabbage than pork. Laulau was somewhat dry and I was shocked at the 2 small scoops of rice and an even smaller scoop of mac salad. My husband's chicken katsu was good but I would not go back.
L&L is popular back home in Hawaii and I wanted to see if it tastes like back home.
I got the laulau plate.
It came with the pork laulau, rice, and scoop macaroni salad.
Since I'm mixed race Native Hawaiian, I know what laulau tastes like because its my cultural foods.
The laulau looked good, however it had a watery down taste to it.
The rice tastes like real rice, and the scoop of mac salad was made like back home too.

L&L Hawaiian Barbecue was amazing! The food was delicious, the staff was on point, and they even offer a self service station. The store was clean, the dining room was quiet. I highly recommend this location if you're looking for a nice place to enjoy your meal.
