I love this place. It's eight on 1st in the heart of downtown Sac. I used to work at a local bakery, and Rick's dessert diner blew us out of the water with their amazingly rich and decedent cakes, pies, torts, cookies, ice cream, I mean the list goes on. They are amazing at Rick's. Be sure to tip.
My co-worker suggested this quaint little diner and I'm glad I checked it out! Needless to say, I was like a kid in a candy shop. Chocolate Kahlua Mousse Tart was my selection. This was a rich, creamy, deep chocolate Kahlua mousse in a thick, buttery Oreo cookie crust topped with plenty of real whipped cream. Incredible diner, like you would imagine in the oldies movies. Items were a bit expensive for dessert but also extremely rich and filling. I took about 2 bites and was feeling full already.
