“This is the place for tacos!!! My wife and I came here this morning for the first time after driving by so many time. They cook on real charcoal. The meat is so flavorful. The portions are huge. The price is perfect for the quality of food. Very clean kitchen, awesome staff. This is the place if you want authentic tacos. Forgot to mention the hand made corn tortillas were amazing! The salsas that they had were perfect! We dont live to far. Good to know this place is down the street. We will be back soon.“

The tacos come on corn tortillas with your choice of meat and you can ask for onions and/or peppers to be included. All the classic sides such as onion, cilantro, radish, and salsa are available on the table, so you can build to your heart’s content. I highly recommend trying the al pastor, which includes pineapple for a delicious sweet contrast. The seasoning on all the meats is incredibly flavorful, making each bite a tasty bite. When we got the bill it did not reflect happy hour. Then she says there’s no felony hour today there was some glitch. “Tacos Taxipuebla is hands down one of my favorite taco spots! They have a food truck that’s open during the day until 5 PM, and then after that, the same people come back and set up a dining area with a grill outside — it’s such a cool setup and gives late-night food vibes.

Their horchata is seriously the best — creamy, sweet, and not watered down at all. The tacos are delicious, the tortillas are soft and flavorful, and everything tastes super fresh. The burritos are big, filling, and totally worth the $9, and the quesadillas are also around $9 and just as good. You can really taste the quality and love they put into their food.

“Randomly stopped here while out on some errands and wanted some lunch. Got 4 Pastor tacos for $11. The meat was perfectly tender and marinated, the tortillas are good and the salsas are great too. Although there are some things I could see people not liking about this place and that is the salsa not being self serve. It doesn’t come in a container, it’s served on the taco. For me it’s the perfect amount of salsa but for people who like to choose how much salsa they get it could be off putting. The little trailer is only ran by the sole owner so have patience when ordering. Will be coming back soon. 4.8/5.

It was very difficult to find parking, since there is only 4 parking spots, 1 being for accessibility and another one is being taken up by an outside table, Very limited parking. It is also next door to a recycling place so there’s tons of people in the area unloading cans and plastic bottles. I recommend the business but parking is challenging. Overall good place for good food.“

I was immediately enticed by the idea of fish tacos, and I had no idea what to expect for any other aspect of the restaurant.
Upon entering, I was welcomed in by a very kind gentleman, who helped me with my indecisive inquiries on what I should order.
I ended up heeding his recommendations, so I went with the fish tacos, some flan, and some horchata.
I’ve never had horchata or flan so I have nothing to compare them to, but the flan was very tasty! Not too sweet. The horchata was also very tasty and it was pretty sweet!

“This is a place to go if you want true mexican food. First off, the dipping sauce is amazing - It's truly fresh and addicting. The dishes I bought ranged between $15-$28 no drinks. I've been eating here for pretty much every lunch, and each dish tastes unique and flavorful. I had 2 supreme burritos, which come under 15 bucks each time, was very good as well. I did encounter whoever wrapped my burttio wrapped it really weird the 2nd time, but it was still good. I will say that it is pricy to an extent based on what you are getting, but the taste is 100% there. You will be really full after each meal and may take some home. This is definitely my go to restruant for right now and may not change for a while.“

“I’ve been coming to this restaurant before I even had my kids… this place is family owned and ran! From the grandparents starting it to the daughter doing it and now her kids are doing it!!! The food is always good here there are never off days the restaurant has not changed any flavors over the many years it’s the original taste I got when I started eating here 20 years ago .. the vibe is fantastic with the music playing and the full bar in the back and party room sometimes they have a mariachi band playing this place is good for seniors because of the fair prices and middle age people with thier family’s.. “I mostly go to the JBs on 29th street near the N street bus stop on my way home. I am hooked on the chicken taco salad (which has alot of chunky chicken & good spicey guacamole) & a Taho beef burrito & sometimes a carnitas taco w/no lettuce but cilantro is ok (I like that they dust it w/Parmesan cheese) & I get a large drink. I know it's alot of food but I have enough for at least 2 or 3 days & it tastes good warmed up. The complaint I have is how greasy both the burrito & taco shells are sometimes. The wrapper is soaked w/it & I have to eat them w/a napkin wrapped around it. I'm wondering if they occasionally change the grease when it gets old? I hate that smell & even the thought of ingesting it. Otherwise service is ok slow at times. Cashiers are mostly ok.“
