When I mentioned the tasting used to be free, they explained the winery is under new ownership. Thus the reason for the food paired wine tasting. It is a relaxing experience. The setting is pretty. We did this for a friend’s birthday.

I've lived in Napa all my life, since 1958 and have visited many of the wineries throughout the valley, and enjoy finding wines that you can cellar for extended periods of time, and the wines from Hietz Cellar produces such wines.
