“I really enjoyed eating here. I had a double cheeseburger with fries for lunch. It was really good. The service was great too! All of the folks at my table said that what they had was really good too. One of the neatest things I thought about this place was how clean it is. While there, I saw the entire floor being mopped and even the outside windows being cleaned. It seems like they run a pretty tight ship here which is excellent for any customer that happens to walk in that door. I would highly recommend this place to anybody that's in the area.“
“This place is a hidden gem. The modest location does not match the experience inside. Feels like a downtown restaurant. Great service, excellent food. There's always a short wait, but that's just an excuse to have a glass of wine by the fireplace before dinner. My wife and I each have our favorite menu item here, but honestly I've never tried anything and been disappointed. The steaks are top notch, but don't overlook the comfort foods.“

They even had the staff sign a card for us to celebrate our anniversary, which I thought was super sweet and thoughtful. Pro tip, the dinner menu starts at 4 so we missed the lunch menu by a few minutes. It's inside a little strip center so not very visible from the street. “Our family had a reservation for 10 to celebrate a birthday and ended up having 3 additional guests and they were so accommodating and seated us with no problems. Asia was our server and was fantastic. Between all of us we had their pasta, burgers, steak, fish &chips, appetizers and caprese salad. Everything was delicious and large portioned. “We took a motorcycle ride here with our Harley group and it was very nice. We reserved the back area ahead of time and this worked out great. Plenty of space to park all 27 motorcycles and some cars. Service was great, food was great. Recommended.“

I've always been a fan of the Happy Steak brand, and when it turned into Perkos, I followed the trail. I am pleased that not every Perkos has turned into a Huckleberry's.I really love a good tri-tip you know nobody else in America eats tri-tip like the Central Valley does I mean every region has its own special cut you know that they go to but the Central Valley loves its tri-tip and they know how to cook a tri-tip to a delicious perfection and Perkos cooking is no different...I also had a cup of chili with cheese and onions, and it was incredible. If you are a fan of chili ...this one gets really thick without the crackers and was a delicious meal in itself. I could have totally had two bowls.Our server was very polite and patient with us while we had to deal with the emotions of the meat lovers omelet being stricken from the menu. She assured us that adding linguica and bacon to the steak omelet would give us a much better meat lovers omelet than previously sought after, and she was exactly right. ?Even though this is a corporate franchise, the small town mentality of Modesto has kept places like this alive and running and nostalgic... so remember to treat these kinds of places accordingly. This ruined the vegan experience for me since my waitress insisted on stomping them out of the location with a swift crunch from a napkin.I can still smell the meat lingering while she did that to my uninvited guest. We could have got along, but they killed them.The food was ok, though their selection is better for vegans. “The food here was excellent. Most of the staff were great too except for the lady that seated us. She put us at a booth and when we asked if we could get one of the many empty tables instead she said absolutely not just for the waitress to come along and ask us if we were happy where we were sitting or if we would like a table instead. The same girl did the same thing to the next 2 groups that came in. I dont know if she was confused or just being rude but the service I got from our waitress far overshadowed the 1 wierd lady. “We had lunch here Tuesday. The service was prompt, but she didn't hear my husband correctly. He ordered the Southwest Chicken Salad and she brought a chicken salad sandwich. I didn't even see that on the menu. I had the ham, brie and fig panini. He decided not to say anything. Both sandwiches were good. It would be nice if they had a choice other than chips or "you can buy a salad".UPDATE 5/20//23Tonight we attended a charity event for Community Hospice. The decorations were amazing. The food was all excellent. The Greek style salad was very flavorful and I especially liked the feta and olives. The main course beef was cooked to perfection and so tender. The couscous and carrot souffle were tasty sides. The Baklava was not as gooey as I'm used to, but still quite tasty. I've also been here for a couple other events since the original lunchroom and definitely give the 5 stars for events.“

The Pork Belly Sliders were flavorful and not to thick, also the right amount of toppings inside, OHH and the cheese sticks, NOT mozzarella but CHEESE sticks were great, I personally will not do mozzarella sticks anywhere any more!!! Hubby ordered the grill salmon and I a lobster tail both cooked to perfection. The garlic shrimp was fresh and flavorful. Our least favorite item was the clams and mussels the were over cooked and lacked seasoning, compared to the devious garlic shrimp we ordered. I ordered a mojito I ask the hostess how they make them here soda verses sparkling water the bartender specifically came to our table and explained to me how they make it and how I would I like to have it he would do it. I'm usually not the biggest fan of butternut squash soup, but theirs had so much flavor. My friend got the short ribs and said they were amazing. The second time I got their falafel wrap and fries, the fries were really good. The wrap was food but not the best, I am grateful for veggie options, though. My friend got the chicken, with polenta and carrots, and the chicken looked extremely juicy. They said it was delicious. Our server was kind, informative and helpful.
