All of the folks at my table said that what they had was really good too. One of the neatest things I thought about this place was how clean it is. While there, I saw the entire floor being mopped and even the outside windows being cleaned. I am pleased that not every Perkos has turned into a Huckleberry's.I really love a good tri-tip you know nobody else in America eats tri-tip like the Central Valley does I mean every region has its own special cut you know that they go to but the Central Valley loves its tri-tip and they know how to cook a tri-tip to a delicious perfection and Perkos cooking is no different...I also had a cup of chili with cheese and onions, and it was incredible. If you are a fan of chili ...this one gets really thick without the crackers and was a delicious meal in itself. I could have totally had two bowls.Our server was very polite and patient with us while we had to deal with the emotions of the meat lovers omelet being stricken from the menu. She assured us that adding linguica and bacon to the steak omelet would give us a much better meat lovers omelet than previously sought after, and she was exactly right. ?Even though this is a corporate franchise, the small town mentality of Modesto has kept places like this alive and running and nostalgic... so remember to treat these kinds of places accordingly. She put us at a booth and when we asked if we could get one of the many empty tables instead she said absolutely not just for the waitress to come along and ask us if we were happy where we were sitting or if we would like a table instead. The same girl did the same thing to the next 2 groups that came in. I dont know if she was confused or just being rude but the service I got from our waitress far overshadowed the 1 wierd lady. The couscous and carrot souffle were tasty sides. The Baklava was not as gooey as I'm used to, but still quite tasty. Hubby ordered the grill salmon and I a lobster tail both cooked to perfection. The garlic shrimp was fresh and flavorful. The second time I got their falafel wrap and fries, the fries were really good. The wrap was food but not the best, I am grateful for veggie options, though.
