“To celebrate our 27th anniversary, we went to @oldskoolcafe. The greeters, cooks and servers are all young people. Mama T opened this place to help at risk youth learn work and life skills (like how to get a license, do taxes, set a bank account). Partnering with experienced chefs, this restaurant has excellent food… and live jazz!!! We ordered the Taumoepeau Ota (think ceviche) and it was a great appetizer… light and the fish was super fresh. We had the short ribs which were super tender and had a rich gravy. We didn’t think we had room for dessert, but the lavender cheesecake and the Guittard chocolate brownie were fabulous! If you are in the city: GO! SUPPORT! ENJOY DELICIOUS FOOD!“

“Incredible brunch. The fried chicken sandwich and shrimp and grits were phenomenal. Having lived in Texas and North Carolina I wasn't sure I'd find anything as good in San Francisco, but Smoke Soul Kitchen blew me away. More than the food itself, the owner and everyone who worked there were so warm and hospitable. They were testing out chocolate chip cookie recipes and gave us some complimentary. We went with our dogs because I thought from photos online that there was a back patio --although there wasn't a patio, they had some tables out front on the sidewalk and were super accommodating. I can't wait to go back!“

“I regularly go to their pop up booth at the Saturday farmers market behind SF Ferry Building. They are in the back plaza area near Gate C Golden Gate Ferry Terminal. Delicious, hearty breakfast sandwich with runny egg yolk if you desire that. Great customer service too.“

“Keith’s was TASTY! I ordered the chicken and waffles. It was delicious!! My wife ordered the catfish & shrimp, she LOVED them both. She is Cajun from Louisiana and finding a taste from home on this side of the bay is a challenge. We also had the sweet tea, another taste of the south with the fresh brewed black tea sweetened with sugar cane syrup. We lucked out on seating as there are only 3 tables- 2 with seating for 4 & the other with seats for 2. Can’t wait to go back.“

“Rome never fails to amaze me!! Had his fried fish for the first time and he fasho learned from a granny!! Tastes like home! Don’t even get me started on the bbq it literally melts in your mouth, you genuinely wouldn’t need teeth because everything is so tender🔥🔥🔥🔥“
