Upon entering Seiya, the restaurant decor gives off a high end Japanese restaurant. The food was delicious and it was nice to have experienced fusion Japanese tapas dishes.
Location was right in the middle of Belmont, so street parking is difficult during peak times.
Seiya is one of the local gems in San Carlos; tucked in the middle of the pedestrian area (where cars are blocked). It's consistently impressive offerings from the Tacos (fried nori loaded with fish and house pico) to the excellent miso soup, to the exceptionally fresh Hon imported sushi, to the consistent robata grill makes this a regular in the rotation. Always a tasty way for a quick lunch, dinner out, or even to impress out of towners with casual yet scrumptious excellence.

The service was excellent, food was great, everything was amazing. It also has a very nice ambiance as well. The reviewer highly recommends the temptation roll, crunchy calirfornis roll and hamachi carpaccio. The desserts are also really good, with cheesecake or mochi ice cream recommended.
