Cafe Rae is a charming diner with a colorful, hippy curb appeal and Bay Area vibes. The menu offers a variety of fresh, homemade dishes, including the popular pozole, stuffed French toast, and a delectable omelet with crispy bacon, melty cheese, and caramelized onions. The restaurant also caters to vegetarians and vegans with a dedicated section. Customers praise the food for its excellent taste and generous portion sizes, often leaving full and skipping lunch afterward. The small but cozy space exudes a cool hippie vibe, creating a relaxed, local beach scene atmosphere. The staff is attentive and friendly, providing good service. Visitors note that the place favors cash payments, so it's helpful to have cash ready before visiting. Overall, Cafe Rae is a delightful spot offering tasty, high-quality, homemade food in a welcoming environment.
