Combination fried rice is my usual go-to. It's really good here. I took a flyer and ordered from here. I took two bites in the car and immediately went back in and ordered one more for the road.I can't speak for anything else, but if the fried rice is this good, everything has to be good.Also, good, prices. Combination fried rice was $13, whereas you're likely paying $15+ anywhere else.
We dined in for lunch and had kung pao shrimp, honey walnut shrimp, and the cream cheese wonton appetizer. We were very happy with the experience and felt it was an excellent value. Nothing fancy; a real mom and Pop shop. Use navigation because it's a little tricky to find.

Linda, the owner, greeted us with a warm welcome. Apparently New Mandarin Garden restaurant has been around for forty years in San Clemente. I'm not sure if they've been in the same location for forty years but Linda's service was swift and was very accommodating with our special FURBALL guest.
