Bonne Vie Brasserie provides a classy eating experience with delicious food and a wonderful pre Civic Center theater experience. It is both convenient, sets the mood and provides for an overall wonderful evening out. Highly recommend.
Highly recommend the high tea! It was lovely, thank you for making our afternoon baby shower so special.
we dined here before Hell's Kitchen at the Civic Center. Sat for a while before anyone came to our table. Our server was friendly. They were out of each French wine by the glass we wanted to order. Food took an incredibly long time and was just ordinary. They were completely understaffed. No busboy to clear tables (the table next to us left before we ordered and the table was still not bused and reset when we left). Few servers. Someone is not paying attention.

Afternoon Tea at the Westgate Hotel offers a delightful and elegant experience, perfect for special occasions or a leisurely afternoon. Guests appreciate the beautiful and calm atmosphere, enhanced by lovely harp music that creates a stately ambiance. The restaurant is magnificent and beautiful, featuring chandeliers and a harp player who welcomes requests. The service is generally excellent, with welcoming and friendly staff who ensure that guests feel special and taken care of. The server is often described as wonderful and exceptional, very attentive.
The tea selection is impressive, featuring flavors like white ambrosia, organic jasmine, blueberry acai, and cranberry hibiscus. The teas are delicious and served loose, not in a bag. The food is served in three courses: sandwiches, scones, and desserts. The sandwiches, with their varying fillings, are tasty, including gourmet options. The scones are a standout favorite, described as warm, perfectly crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. Desserts are beautifully presented, with petite desserts.
While service is generally good, there are occasional lapses. Some guests have noted that the high ceiling contributes to a distracting noise level. Despite this, the overall experience is positive, with attendees enjoying the ability to relax, converse, and savor their tea without feeling rushed. The ambiance, food, and attentive touches make Afternoon Tea at the Westgate Hotel a memorable experience. Guests would definitely go back and look forward to returning.
