Food - Suprisingly good for the zoo. Everything was flavorful.
Caprese salad very good.
Double chicken sandwich was huge.
Pro Senior tip for light meal, order from the kids menu, $3 unchanged = $17. Perfect light meal, I had braised Chicken (delicious) with braised broccoli and carrots. Perfect amount of food.
Price, not crazy expensive but it is the zoo.
Ambiance - Air Conditioning or patio with fans. Waterfall outside.
Service was top-notch

Albert’s was the perfect lunch spot for a bit of a respite during our zoo visit.
The service was terrific, our server gave us great recommendations and stayed on top of water refills. She even filled up our water bottles!

Albert’s is a great little oasis off the beaten path at the San Diego Zoo. Seriously, it’s a bit tricky to find if you aren’t paying attention to the signs. Far better food than you would ever expect in a zoo. The salads we had were both fresh and tasty. The chocolate torte is also a standout. And the wines on offer were legit great.
