Champs BBQ is the best all-you-can-eat Korean bbq restaurant in the Convoy district. Competitively priced, high quality meats, fresh side dishes, prompt service, clean modern feel. I measure all other AYCE Korean BBQ places against the Champs standard.
Service was great and beef belly and pork belly were good quality. The grill they use doesn’t have holes (netting style) so the oil pools. The meat ends up pretty oily. I would say the sides, kimchi stew, egg, corn cheese etc are great. The kimchi fried rice at the end — save room. It’s such a good ending.
Great food and selections! Will definitely be coming back.

Staff is great, and the bathrooms are clean. The sides are good, and the sweet n sour sauce pairs well with the meat. The corn cheese could be a little bit more creamy and the steamed egg was a little too salty. The food is extremely tasty and the price is the best in the area. Food is good, service is great, and the music isn’t loud so you can talk to whoever you’re eating dinner with. The food is delicious and high quality, with fresh meats and a great variety to choose from. The atmosphere is warm and perfect for a team party. The staff are friendly, attentive, and take great care of you. This place is highly recommended for team parties or group gatherings in San Diego.
