We’ve been sushi aficionados for years and one by one our favorite spots have closed. Most of the restaurants we’ve tried since had average sushi quality at best. Consequently we had never really paid much attention when Tappi Sushi opened in our Tierrasanta neighborhood but we finally decided to try it. To our great surprise the sushi quality is excellent and the preparation and presentation are also good. We’re always served with a smile and have come to know the staff...

Yeaaah the food here is pretty aight. Very much microwaved leftovers from Tappi Sushi 1.

The only thing I liked about this place was the giant TV screen that constantly plays ads for mobile gambling videogames.

Food is edible and standard quality for sushi. The atmosphere is definitely lacking, no one smiles. Although service was well it wasn’t exceptional by any means. The building is very grey gloomy and very under maintained; Stains on walls. Crumbs all over floor. I would say it’s not bad.. also not 5 star. Solid 3 star eatery.
