I am a vegan and when I found out that this place was Plant based too. I had to stop by. I was greeted by the owner of the establishment (Amarleono) , which gave me a warm vibe and as soon as I stop by more people stop by and was absolutely great. He gave us VIP experience with everything and even gave us a complementary Appetizer this was a really great experience… The food was fired. The experience was fired and it’s right in the heart of gaslamp. I will be back soon.
Delicious! I loved gyros growing up, have had a tough time finding vegan options over the years. Gentle Grill knocked it out of the park! Plus a lot of other great options on the menu

Gentle Grill is a plant based restaurant in the heart of gaslamp. The owner gives a warm vibe and a VIP experience, and even offers a complementary Appetizer. Many people stop by, and the atmosphere is fun. The food is delicious, and everything on the menu is vegan. The gyros are a great option for those who have had a tough time finding vegan options. The Gentle Bowl can be served with homemade seitan and 3 housemade dressings/sauces: chimichurri, tzatziki and vinaigrette. Other great options include the gyro w/feta combo, the pulled pork sandwich, the Reuben, and the fries. The downtown location is small, clean, and beautifully decorated, with a nice loft upstairs. The service is attentive and wonderful, and the owner is super friendly. The food is a little pricey for a fast food type place, but so is everything nowadays. The fries were a bit average for some, but overall, Gentle Grill is highly recommended.
