About Kearny Mesa Deli

Kearny Mesa Deli is a consistent deli in terms of quality and service. It is no-frills and not fancy at all, but there is a reason their phone is always ringing off the hook at lunchtime. They do what they do well, and they are dependable. The pulled pork sandwich comes with a layer of coleslaw and gives American BBQ vibes. The egg salad sandwich is also pretty good, with very good texture and consistency, and it is made fresh daily. The coffee is also pretty good. A brand called Aperture provides the beans, and the cold brew is especially yummy. Prices are not too high, and parking is usually not bad. There is a decent amount of seating inside, and also a really large outdoor patio. The breakfast sandwich could be the best in SD, with bacon, egg, cheese and avocado on plain bagel. The Santa Fe Sandwich is a favorite, and the latte is always at the right temperature and very balanced. The bread is exceptional and every single thing on their menu is delicious. The Americano was great with good beans. There are no vegan food options. The Iced Caramel Latte was tasty, with good espresso and a bit on the sweeter side. The Southwestern Chicken was simple, with solid taste. Sandwiches come with a free drip coffee, which was smooth and tasty. The atmosphere is cute and quiet. There is both indoor and outdoor seating.

Very nice staff.
yummy sandwich, good coffee. Go here if you're craving a hot sandwich for lunch 😋. I got the New Yorker.
Local business that deserves the 5 stars. The ambiance is very calm, and the prices are very affordable! I recommend coming here for breakfast
